I think that it would be a darkhaven faction and the creatures would be: dark peasant/ sorrow peasant/furious peasant
dark archer/Master dark archer/imbued dark archer
dark footman/dark swordsman/Cleave master
dark griffin/skyrage griffin/griffin captain
dark priest/divine priest/priest resurecter
dark horseman/dark champion
/dark paladin
dark angel/fallen angel/angel of darkhaven
the faction would be as the evil haven so it would be the most evil faction in the game

Here's a thing I've thought about for quite some time.

Town Name: Tower (Yeah I stole the old Academy name, feel free to suggest others...)

Description: Many people grew furious with the rule of the red queen, and decided to start anew. Elrath was abondoned, as the people couldn't see how he could tolerate such a thing as the Red Queen and her followers, so they returned to their old god, Sylath. After the war had ended and Biara had been defeated, the people had already created glorious cities in the mountains under Sylath's blessing, and so they chose to remain faithful to him.

Town: A city built in white stone circled around a mountain's sides the, captitol is at the top, based in a large tower.

Creatures:

Tier 1. Warrior
Description: Pretty much your normal Peasant, just thinner and more muscular due to the mountain's harsh enviroment. Although weak, many of them are extremly fanatic in their faith, and Sylath blesses them accordingly.
Abilities: Taxpayer, Rush (This creature may cast haste on itself when attacking, chance is 50%)

Tier 2. Chainblades
Description: Warriors with a huge Shuriken with a chain attached to their arm. When attacking, the unit throws its weapon and after hitting, it pulls the chain and returns the weapon.
Abilities: Shooter, No Melee Penalty, Chain Star (When this creature attacks its weapon will be thrown with the chain extended, the attack will damage any creatures in the line to the targeted creature, and will do the same amount of damage when the weapon is returning to the Chainblade.)

Tier 3. Griffin Warriors
Description: The Griffins of the mountains aren't as big as the normal ones, but their size is more than enough for a warrior to mount. Their high speed allows for quick attack tactics.
Abilities: Large creature, Attack and Return

Tier 4. Air Wizards
Description: Mages who specialize in the Air element
Abilities: Caster (Lightning bolt), Storm Curse (This creature can mark an enemy creature, when the targeted creature performs an ability, attacks or uses a spell it will be struck with lightning dealing 0.5 of the Air Wizard's Lightning Bolt's damage.)

Tier 5. Atronach
Description: Symbols of Sylath summoned by Air Wizards, they're made of air pressured so hard that it gets as strong as stone.
Abilities: Large Creature, Energy Gift (This creature can offer its own spellpower to Air Wizards), Bash

Tier 6. Templar
Description: Holy warriors of Sylath, they carry dual blades sheathed on their back.
Abilities: Swift Strike (When this creature activates this ability it will be able to attack twice during a turn, but will only deal half its damage on each attack), Rush (This creature may cast haste on itself when attacking, chance is 50%)

Tier 7. Dragon Templar
Description: The Wind Dragons, Sylath's chosen, are smaller than most of their brethren, but faster and more friendly. The most elite of all Templar are chosen by the dragons and allowed to ride them, creating a fearsome combination of claws and steel. The Templar wields silver armor and a large shield and lance.
Abilities: Large Creature, Flyer, Sylath's Fury (When this moves 4 tiles or more and attacks a creature, it will create a phantom image of itself which charging through the targeted creature and damages any creatures in the line of attack. The Phantom image does 1/3 of the Dragon Templar's normal damage and dissapears after attacking.)

That's pretty much it, this is my "ultimate dream faction".

Emo Rapist / Abyssal Penetrator! This is SAMBAAAA!

Going back to the topic, the mere fact that you paint units in balck doesn't make them deseve new faction, at most trashing.

Adrian's description at least is justified and makes some sense, though I really discourage reworking what is already done and proven to be reliable for all these years. Be creative! ALl in all, the thread is called "NEW castle", not" "retextured castle".

First of all, I would rewrite the faction structure, si it wuould be possible to have a number of creatures with same Tier. As in H4, but why not as H6? I'm ceratin you miss H6 with H5,3. If all the people think like that, H6 will never come true as there is no point of creating it

It is Sylath.  There is no such thing as "Ylath"

Damn you Ds!! Now I have to edit my post again! Unless you're wrong Cepheus, I do recall people calling him Ylath in Dark messiah, or at least it sounds like it.

I trust my memory though, I'll rename it again... I'll change the serpent unit too, it doesn't fit at all in the creature lineup.

They call him Ylath there alright, but he's Sylath in the mythology.  In that game he's also known as Yrath or some such.  It's clearly just typos and sloppiness between Ubisoft and Arkane (e.g. we have Mal-Beleth in lore, and Kha-Beleth in game)

Perhaps its Sylath in mythology but the lazy humans in-game just calls him Ylath and/or Yrath?

Or maybe the S is silent? Anyway, I'd like to hear at least one more comment about my faction that isn't about Sylath/Ylath's name.

Oh yeah, and Warmonger called me Adrian... Damn you!

Or the lazy progammers and script-writers, yes.

Sorry to derail your thread Adrius.  Unfortunately I have nothing else constructive to add.

Oh, this thread is mine now? Actually it was created by argeleb, but I can be in charge if you want to

I also have a Imp faction that I orginally created for ICTC3, but I never completed it back then. Maybe I should finally post it?

But the uber uberspecial Heroes V lore timeline and backstory call him Sylath.  Look, it's just a typo which went too far, like in Might and Magic VII where they called Eeofol "Eofol".

If anything Ylath is the wrong name
