Ignoring difference is not the way. Embracing them, and making them work in humanities favor is. "An it harm none, do as you will". (Ie if it doesn't affect anybody but yourself, I'm all for it). Hating somebody because they are different is rather idiotic if you think about it. That would mean that you hate yourself also. After all, you are different from everybody else also.
Now I realize there are those who hate themselves also, which is unfortunate. Some do not realize, it is not what others think of them, but what they think of themselves. So go ahead, laugh at me for 'wearing rosecolored glasses' or living in a fantasy world. I know that my generation, the next generation, and the one after that will never see Harmony. But evil flourishes when good people do nothing.
Progress can only be made, if people actually try to do something.

Well, I did specify if it hurts nobody but yourself. So rapist, theives, etc would not be in the consideration. I agree this is not a place to discuss abortions.
However I think some people are too PC (politically correct) while actually hiding what they really think. I don't care if I offend somebody, but I do honestly believe that some things just don't matter. Bisexuality and Homosexuality are two. Nor does your religion, as long as you don't kill, maim, etc because of it. Race, age, sex, etc just shouldn't make a difference.

Good.. if it were wrongdoing and evil in this world.
Deplorable.. if you look down on someone for petty differences alone.
But then again.. it's a different story if you think wrongdoing and evil are relative.

I do wonder when people started getting such thin skins tho. If I wrote here half the names I've been called in my life, I would be banned for longer then it would take for the universe to stop. I just felt pity for the people calling me the names.
Political Correctness is not always helping, it is harming sometimes as well. We have become so worried about being hurt, we let nobody in.
Kids might as well be placed in a bubble (of course with helmets, kneepads, etc..). People are so afraid of doing or saying anything. I think that is part of the reason for the rise in violence. They get so frustrated that they can't let out what they feel, so they do it in a more explosive way.
Don't get me wrong, I think labeling people is just sad. However, there has to be a common sense line. The 'don't say anything because you might offend somebody' bit is just too much.

I think you are reffering to US sterotype christans?
Anyway, i think the world needs a new term to collect all the shattered words for people hating other people.
It would either be:
*Hater
*Hateist
*Discriminatist
Number 3 would litteraly hit all Nazi type groups and Ku Klux clan and alot of other stuff.
I also thinks we need to redefine sexualety, becuase the current terms is completely messed up.
We got:
1. The majorti word, that apply's after gender
2. The 5% that is not a part of group 1. And they allmost got a discriminated name.
In the end, i am willing to defend somebody for killing somebody who assault that somebody. I am not willing under any sircumstances to allow a Discriminatist to go around and discriminate, if i was a bussdrived i would throw of people attempting to hate. Simply because hate toward people doing others no harm is a crime.

I think that everybody has a couple of things he can't accept, so he discriminates. The catch is that these things should be of a limited number, and only from a small sphere of interests, beliefs, et caetera

those so called 'petty differences' is the one of the main problems in my country(so called Europes province). my bro was kicked out from school just cuz he is a metalist and a pagan. the school principal imagined that he is "scarying other students with his looks" you think that black leather jacket with chains and metal spikes is scary? i think not.

There will always be hatred in this world & it can not stop.
History binds how people feel today.
How we are raised.
If you were raised in a house full of racism, the chances are you will feel the same in someway.
Diferent Religion changes the way people think about others.
Even Christians & Catholics.
So whle there are those who treat everyone equal, sometimes certain people do tempt you to choose otherwise.
Like Asian drivers, Hard to see how they can get a license

this kind of crap always happens. the Baltic countrys hates Russia for occupiyng us in 1940,We lithuanians also hate Poland and our goverment. lets remember the Holokaust and other great historical massacres. just look at Iraq and Afghanistan. well this might come as shock but thats not discrimination.
Rapists,theives and terrorists are people who commit crimes,there fore a class of villian so to speak. you 'descriminiate' against someone who has belifes,race,looks differnt. 'Descrimination' by commiting a crime is a nother thing.
as for pro aborts,im pro abort. they dont murder babies,couse babies arent really a baby untill they are born,they have no looks,and no name,and no documents. The choice of abort is given to those who felt they did a mistake,praphes giving birth is a far bigger mistake..
if the mother is 14 crackhead and the father is who knows who..should the child be born as sick as posible and will probbly die within the the hour,or praphes save the needless fiasco?
