I prefer US English. British English just has some weird stuff for me.

For example, I hate to say colour, favourite, neightbour (why do we need to type an 'u'). I prefer color, favorite, neighbor, etc

And it's good to know that Firefox's spell-check is American (it underlines colour, favourite, etc)

As I see it, US has half of the votes. If Americans come here and vote, I think US will outnumber UK votes

That's why I installed British dictionary myself.

I prefer the American accent.

But all my family from the US makes fun of me 'cause I have a British accent.

Well, sure, British English can sound funny at times, but it's undeniably cooler than American, and it's basically a real language while American English is just an accent.
But I agree that Scottish English is by far the best. I also like Jamaican.

Does anyone remember John Cleese's letter to Americans by the way?

Define "cooler"

It sounds too much like speaking through your nose, like I said

Back when I had first read Binabik's response I started searching the internet for other responses since HC wasn't the first (and won't be the last) forum to see this letter.

I found this instead.  It's a site that discusses Urban Legends and it was able to trace the letter back to its original form and the real author who I'm sorry to say was not really John Cleese.

Does it really matter wether you use Us english or British english - IMO Us english is just a slang version of British , where English is like the real version but as we know - language evolve and we must follow not to get stuck in the past
