You are called to free and unite them to face the enemy threat. However your path is not covered in roses, time left and resource availability is uncertain.. will you be adequately prepared when hell breaks loose? ”
Wanting to provide the opportunity for a one-time fully blind game, no portraits of map is revealed, only some basic clues and some general comments
Some basic hints..
_Both start with free: minor, random prisoner and few joiners
_2 Huts out of main town, Adv Log for free OR Boots for 6k (may pick only one)
_All One Way Entrances lead to same Exit (at main area)
_4 Scrolls in map, guarded by a fixed guard
_3 Sphinx per side, 1 in middle (just say yes)
_Pendant of Mastery present in map, guarded by a fixed guard
_1 Goldmine in map, guarded by lev5
_Terrain that look like Orc’s is actually Grass, has no move penalty
_Random Artifacts (per side): 3 relic, 6 major, 6 minor
+ (4 skelies, 4 wagon, 1 Artifact Merchant, 3 Crypt, 1 Blood temple)
_Random Artifacts (middle lava land): 2 relic, 2 major
_Creatures in Friendly mood, have ~20% more chances to join than Normal mood
_Read signs!
_Read objectives!
_Suggested Rule: no mirror towns
Some Disabled..
_Arties: All 4 tomes, Scrolls(4 in map), Wands, Boots of tavel(in Hut for 6k), Boots of terrain-water-air, Windstrider boots, Ring of speed, Pendant of mastery(in map), Mask of equitity, Shackles(In a Hut for 18k), Rune of flame(in map), Amulet of necromancy
_Spells: Earthquake, Rune of charge(chance% to be on Rune of flame artie), Instant Travel
_Heroes: Wyngaal, Haggash, Marbas, Yrbeth, Brand
And some thoughts.. on Towns and Ultimate Skill
NECRO: No is not overpowered. Since game has many armies for recruit, necromancy skill value is diminished. Also has less diplo-join chances compared to other towns. Refugee huts may help, still mony isnt a luxury in this game. Has good Ultimate skill but very hard to build lev7, which may count in this map
DWARF: Since they benefit less from Pendant, rune of flame is present, as a little consolation prize. Overall, dwarf is dwarf, not really need for any more bonus. Brand is Off, cause he’s a nobody
SYLVAN: Since they benefit from Pendant greatly, they can kiss my ass for any bonus. On top, Wyngaal is Off
BARB: Pfff.. Haggash is Off and they can shove Pendant, which is good btw.. Spell Shops in middle and Scrolls may surprise them (yet they sure be a snow with such armies..)
HAVEN: Dubious stuff here.. not sure if enough res and mony for champ making, even with Pendant. In-town-stable sure helps. Also, as in necromancy, training skill value is diminished cause map is rich in armies
ACA: May prove too slow to build up, with such res needs. They would be a dead town with no Pendant.
DUNGEON: Yrbeth Off. Mediocre Pendant value. I have no idea of this town
INFERNO: Aaaah, now we’ re talking. “We are no underdog anymore!”. Very good Pendant, few lava terrain here and there. Marbas is Off, he’s too soft
And some more thoughts.. on Diplo
DIPLOMACY: Dubious strategy to try, cause you cant really afford to leave many guards behind, in order to attack later for diplo chance. However, it may work, given opportunity to have Crown of Leadership from sphinx or as a random major and some armies are set to mood=friendly (quantity custom - not grow). Overall, as in necromancy skill and training, diplo not too strong in this map
And a closing note:
Too busy these days to create a decent pdf help file, yet besides that, I think you big boys now you can handle a blindy, huh? And, it’s all there, pretty soon you’ ll understand what goes. Has no tricks, no cheats, just read the signs, read objectives, visit huts, say Yes to sphinxs and evrythang will be just fine

Can be pretty strong too, but not deadly with spells. There are many + defense buildings which are extremely good for them.
Edit: is a very good map. btw insatiable, why ban tomes? they are needed to surprise orcs since there are not so many ways to get spells here.

You can't rely on those scrolls. They can give you 4 spells from the same school, or 4 completely useless spells. You have no utopia nor crypt (or whatever its name is).

Quit ignoring the spell shops
If you're really fast, you can get both. Worst case scenario you get access to 1.

I'm not ignoring the spellshops. You can be faster than orcs only if you play dungeon or necro. How about others?

Since they nerfed rage and flaming arrows in 3.1 it's not that easy with orc anymore.
Not gonna spoil the map for the others, but there's some key points that he can't cross with a ballista, centaurs and 1-2 clops.
Even if opponent reaches both spell shops, it's not as if he'd guard yours and keep hitting end of turn. If he comes for you, he'll have a surprise

With so much defense on this map, sylvan, dwarf and dungeon will have no chance against them without dark.

.. a different map is only a different option of playing this game. is not trying to re-invent homm5, just that vaults-pyramids-tomes-utopia spells have been overused (at least in my maps), so, thought i make one free of them..

1.1 only was evolution of 1.0, after i played it 3 times to end i made much twitching you dont need to know, cause 1-2 ppl only played 1.0
1.2 few stuf, a dirt road replaced by stone, Sphinx give few more exp and mony, and some 'clicks' here and there..
.. btw some campaign guys are ON, not the imbalanced ones fcorse

How do i "unlock" the level 4~7 dwellings in the lava area?
I tried killing the keymaster and taking him with me.! Both ways the dwellings change to my ownership but they remain blocked. Am i missing something?
BTW another great map Insatiable! I relly liked the idea of no level 1 upgrades on your last map and no utopia, etc on this makes things interesting too.
ATM on heroic i can get into my second town between weeks 2~3.

I've just had a look at it in the editor and must say you're positively twisted guy A bit of randomness is always welcome among all these balanced-in-every-detail maps ToH list is flooded all the time. I will have to give it a play asap.

_Slideshow added at launch-lobby
_Boots now cost 8k (was 6)
_Shackle now cost 12k (was 18)
_’Priests and birds’ Guard for lev4-5 dwells reduced by 4 each
_A crypt bank replaced by a Refugee camp
_+1 friendly stack to lev1, lev2, lev3 set, and 5% increase to all
_1 planetarium (+1 spell) added
_Disabled: Horde’s Anger warcry
_Lev6 guard to Observatory, instead of lev5

Sounds like unintentional bug..
Nat and me finished a fascinating game on Sidekick Yet, she had the staff as generated relic in her zone. Suddenly, there is less incentive to rush the underground spinhx where you can get the staff as one of the central quests in the map.
Was the possiblity of staff left on purpose or is it just a negligence?
