Tourney is almost over - dead-line has come and extention days for finishing few remaining games ends this Thursday (plus there might be few additional games in cases of identical scores to determine final rank).
As for next tourney - huh... I'm glad to see that there are ppl who are willing to participate, yet, imho, launching next tourney right after the end of previous is bad practice.
Reasons:
Firstly, there is a concept of "everyday life" and "celebration" - to get the feeling of celebration, you can't have it all life long
Secondly, organizing tourney is hell of a job, i'm certainly not up to do right away once more.
Thirdly, I have a vague dream about "arena world championship", running one big tourney both here and on russian sites (and may be adding some more sites from other countries). Yet that could take place no sooner that around late december-january...

Thoughts about next arena tourney
I think we should start registration sooner, and have an extended deadline, in order to have more players, and maybe establish some new rules. Last tourney showed some problems when players dropped, and better rules are required for those situations. I have some solutions in mind:
1. When a player drops, all the players get maximum number of points against him, no matter the result. This is the easiest way to solve this problems (very simple solution, but it actually disadvantages the players who fully won)
2. We keep the results of the player as they are, and assign the others a "+", like in the previous tournament, but the "+" is worth 1 point and a half, or something like that, in order to encourage players to play all their games.
3. We simulate the result, by creating a math formula considering the previous results of the player that dropped, we calculate a "likely result" (a little too complicated solution)
Also, it would be nice if we managed to gather more players, so in the end, we have some sort of finals between the first ranked(or maybe even if we are not too many, first 4 ranked can play finals)
