Quote: What I'm saying is that citing sources from THEIR scientists are not solid at all
Says who? As far as I know these people know exactly what they are doing. What they don't know is what they will discover. But they know about the things that will happen until then and what will happen after the neutrons crash up to a certain degree. The only new thing here is that the particles of the neutrons and protons will be blasted into even tinyer pieces which they will examine. They don't know what they are going to find in those tiny pieces. They already know that black holes will be created but they also already know that they are going to be so unimaginebly shortlived that they won't be able to do anything. And this they know by our existing formulas and rules of physics.
Quote: If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?"
You are quoting that completly out of context. The scientists don't know what they will discover!! The blackholes are not part of that. The world will not end.

Oh yeah, and if you research the atomic forces, do you think it's going to be safe? It may cause a nuclear chain reaction, nuclear blast. But of course, since you didn't research the atomic bomb, but rather the atomic forces, then it won't happen right?

Is it possible that you're just too into that "small chance"? I mean if we do something on this scale sure something "could" happen. If the pieces of the pieces of the pieces of the pieces of... which neutrons are made of are small nuclear bombs that (if broken out of their chain) suddenly swell to the size of the sun sure our world is going to end (pretty drastic example I know but in general it is that "small chance" your talking about right?). But lol I doubt that something so unfathomble small can cause a cataclysm (unlike a nuclear bomb it has nothing to react with).

Exactly, even a chance of 0.0000001% can happen And those that are not optimists (like me) take this into consideration as well

I don't know how "big" the chances are. If you have not enough information, then you can't really form a stable "chances", it will be mostly on preferences.
Besides I am not saying that it WILL be a black hole. I'm saying that it is very ignorant to say "OMG that's so untrue". As always I am trying to be objective

Well if we know that black holes will be created but we also know that they won't do anything then how is saying "Blackholes could eat the planet" being objective?
EDIT: please don't say "but we don't know that they won't do anything because their formulas could be flawed".

No we don't.
Hawking Radiation has never been solidly accepted -- it is a "possible" explanation.
And yups, we know very little stuff about Black Holes. After all, we even failed to merge the Quantum theories (the stuff concerned at LHC) and the general relativity (to which "macro-scopic normal" black holes have been detected). How can you say we know?
(btw: these two theories are incompatible at different scales)

I read that website.
It's kinda old and doesn't really show anything that I haven't already heard.
The people who sued the business... did they win?

Haaha. I knew you'd write something like that Death.
Well what the heck the formulas are good enough for me (one heck of a difference that makes I know but anyways xD).

So the judge/jury are omniscient?
Why isnt the electron considered a black hole?
Well really now, the things get more weird than a normal black hole, since the protons have charge. I'm not sure about their quarks though (and how will they "integrate" with one another).

Well, TheDeath, I read your link and I was glad I read this:

Isn't the calculations & predictions the main point of error here, or does that excuse only work when it "is a coincidence" with 2012
Now seriously it ain't such a big deal, since most people won't suffer. I mean, it's more likely that we die in a painful accident or some pyscho or whatever else, really. I don't get what people are so afraid of being "wiped out" without pain.
I'm not saying that it's gonna happen, but why the irrational fear?
