You're right. But unfortunately a Walkyrie is etheral :s
I preffered the original non-transparent too, but well... It doesn't go with the Minor Walkyrie who is transparent :s
What my I do ?
Please people, give your opinion ! I'll update a non-transparent pak if enough people find it more beautiful

TsOD se the way I see it is the following:
Your untransparent model has a lot of detail which is lost through the transparentness (is that a word oO?) of the other one.
But the way the skirt and the gloves contrast with the transparent model is much stronger which I personally find beautiful  . And your untransparent model still has the red horns and the markings of her fishnetish clothing (which kinda breaks the harmony in case you wanted to leave it that way).
But the face of the transparent one looks somewhat empty (d'uh it's transparent but I hope you know what I mean).

I remove transparency : look.
I find it too luminous... :s
And I can't remove this luminosity (I tried) :s

I prefer this one eventhough it indeed is a bit luminous which (unfortunately?)makes it look a bit spacy. But do whatever it is you want to do^^. You shouldn't be designing it for us.
