Obviously I wasn't as here as long as you were, but let's see if I can jog your memory: Dingo, BountyHunter, Kyuu, Medusa, LichKing, Regnus_Khan, the old RSF, etc. And, in the OSM, in the old era, which I didn't read at the time because I thought I was boring, we had Svarog, bort, DaRgON, Consis, Khaelo, and privatehudson. They somehow managed to have long, productive discussions without quote wars.

HC is the only message board of its kind that I know of - one that is so varied, tolerant of arguments and wide-ranging topics, from the election to "k", and with such a closely knit community. On the other hand, if you want to tell offensive jokes and/or incorporate them into your discussions, perhaps GameFAQs is your best bet. And if you miss the Tavern from 03-04, then maybe CH is for you. But I spend more time at HC than either of the other two.

Been there, done that...
Hello everyone.
First of all, I want to congratulate all the members of the Heroes Community for supporting this space. I'm still quite young, but I've already seen many forums and communities reduced to ashes because of the lack of activity or even disrespect and personal misunderstandings.
Now, taking the spare time matter, I can say that my toughest time was back at school and university. You can handle school, but University is another tale. At University I had time just for three things: Studying, Sports and Dating (I was quite a ladies man). Some time after, I traded some sports time for gaming time and it didn't go bad.
The law school took 6 years of my life. Now I'm a lawyer and work as much as I want. I'm married and play HOMM5 with my wife, who I met at University and is also a lawyer.
The point is, never give up on something if you feel it's right and good for you, because you don't have to. Of course, you need discipline and studying comes first always.
I never regret of all the times I had to turn off my PC in the middle of a nice game, just to go to classes or training.
Long live to Heroes Community!
