Please Sign OUT of MSN if your not there!!
Just wanted to post and vent some frustration... nothing is more annoying then seeing 5 of 6 save game opponents logged on in MSN and I send them messages to asking them to play and NEVER recieve a reply..
If your asleep or gone to store or watching football game and not gonna be there to flag messages.. please sign off.. or atleast mark yourself as OFFLINE stealth mode.
ahhh... there I feel better now.

Common USA-ish mistake, same with hear/here, were/where, etc.
Sadly it's been proven that native english speakers are in the low end when it comes to grammar and spelling correctly (I mean large batches of people here, not individuals, there's exceptions to everything, everywhere).
I'm hinting it's because, as foreigners, we try harder to master the language and we're very careful not to make any mistakes that will be frowned upon.
Take a look at Strider, you can tell his English is not native, whereas Jinxer's surely is
On the topic at hand: I'm one of those persons that leaves his msn on almost all the time. Just take the time to think that maybe, for some, that address isn't sold to toh, or heroes playing in general.

That may be true... BUT... regardless who you are expecting to talk to "weather" ( that is for Pandora ) it be heroes game or your Grandma to contact you.. if your NOT at computer to reply back it doesnt matter. It just gives the illusion to whomever is trying to talk to you that you are there... At the very least go into Stealth mode that way you can still recieve those EMERGENCY messages that you must not wanna miss.

You can simply ask, big deal. As if it's anyone's concern if I or anyone else for that matter leaves msn on or off - I have one msn for all purposes so being online doesn't mean I'm also available. Why not arrange the next time you meet with your opponent in the first place?

Believe me I try! But either they cannot guarentee to be available or if they do set up to meet... when I get here.. they either wont answer or are in a game with someone else lol...
Last night I was on and seen NeverMindSpy logged on... I spent 3 hours sending him messages asking him to continue. So how do I know if they are sleeping for the night.. or just ignoring me trying to avoid me lol...
Its kinda like trick or treat night... when the porch light is on... means available to give candy stop here... but you know how frustrating it is.. to walk up to a house with a pack of kids all excited to get candy and knock knock knock knock knock... and noone comes.. do you wait?? maybe they are in bathroom? Maybe on phone? Maybe its a SLOW old lady that is trying her hardest to get there... woops no no.. everyone in house is sleeping or not even home..
Same goes for MSN.. if your not gonna be there to beable to reply to messages or send messages.. turn your porch light out please.

Just use the 5 minutes rule.
If he hasn't answered in 5 minutes, then he's not there. Easiest thing in the world and it could've avoided this extra thread

Most Msn Versions will automatically place you in away anyway if there is no activity on the computer. So if your "away" set to away. Really its not hard to do
And it will make some grumpy old men happy

You can get MSNPlus and when you set your status to away, you can make it have an auto message. Sometimes i have mine as sleeping, so if a person talks to me then the auto message appears and they then know that I am sleeping.
