Lessons of Life
We all develop our own philosophies as we grow up - Some part of our family teachings, others borrowed from a role-model or a friend, others developed from personal experience. Of course they differ from person to person and we may never know all of them until the time comes for the other to express them.
It has been some time since I last made a thread and I recently had ample time to put some order in my thoughts. You probably know some of mine, I wonder how much I know about yours 
Here goes!
- Life is not a game to be won, it is a gift to be experienced. Too much ambition will deny you the pleasure of living it.
- Life is a series of moments. Collect the good ones, learn from the worse and aim for better ones in the future. Nostalgia is good but you can't cling to the past.
- Don't deny your instincts, instead temper them with reason. You don't want to be a machine nor an animal.
- Avoid conflict unless it is worth it, you don't want to waste time and energy on pointless arguing. So many better things to invest effort into.
- I don't care what others think of me unless I have a measure of respect for them. And respect is to be given freely until the other manages to lose it. So many people around you act like idiots, however show them some respect and they can improve. If you don't they may instead deteriorate and cause unnecessary trouble.
- Beware of idiots for they can introduce chaos and frustration in your life. You can reason with logical people or at least predict their actions, that is not the case with idiots. Hence why common sense is not THAT common.
- Always strive to improve yourself. You can state that you are who you are which does require some guts but it's the selfish way and it's not just you out there. Be you but be the better you, not the jack@ss one.
- Help people if you can, with little effort you can save people a lot of trouble. However don't go beyond the level of helping others to help themselves or they'll get dependent on you - or even worse try to exploit you. Give the finger to the ungrateful ones and move on.
- Don't be afraid to take risks, it's a necessity sometimes. However always keep in mind what you stand to lose and learn to distinguish the safe ones.
- Too much politeness is for the worse. Learn to be blunt when you must lest people walk all over you or take you for granted.
- Learn to accept rejection and defeat. It won't be the first or the n-th time so learn what you can from it and move on.
- If you can't do something you have not invested enough effort or focus in the matter. As long as you believe in yourself and try you will eventually succeed.
- If there is a problem don't deny your responsibility no matter now miniscule it may be. Maybe most of the fault falls to others but if you had been 100% right in what you did it might have been prevented. Do your job and avoid pointing the finger elsewhere. And when it comes to it whining or crying over spilt milk is pointless, take action.
That's all I can think for now

Hehe I really need to take this advice 
- Be yourself, don't try to be someone or something you are not.
- Don't do something and think it's good just because "everyone else does it".
- Most times, don't leave stuff for tomorrow if you can do it today.

Good thread
-everyone makes mistake,the point is not to repeat them
-One greatness is messured by hes ability to take blame for hes actions and to ask for forgivness when is wrong and made harm.

Good advice and usually works but after several attempts I really gave up on something (and no it was something very complicated, not something easily done)
- If someone insults or offends you, don't degrade to his behavior yourself

Succes is a journey, not an objective. This can explain why you don't feel very complete after a good result: the road is not over, and succes can be possesed, but not achieved.
