Arena Map Change List:
Spells:
Removed Curse of the Netherworld, Word of Light, Armageddon, as they were bringing several imbalances to the game.
Resources:
Dungeon
Removed all resources corresponding to light and dark spells, from the spell shop.
Academy
Added 5 wood/ore(to balance other changes)
Also a little touch to Haven and Academy money (3-4k gold).
Special buildings:
Academy
Removed +3 Knowledge building.
Academy, Sylvan, Haven, Inferno
Added Magic Spell Stone, where you can acquire a random lvl 1-3 Spell for the price of 2500 gold/ visit. The stone can be visited twice, spells are totally random, you can get spells that you already own.
The available spells are: Haste, Endurance, Cleansing, Righteous Might, Deflect Missile.
Heroes:
Removed Haggash from Orcs, and Ingvar from Dwarfs.
Troops:
Orc
+3 level 5 creatures
+50 level 1 creatures
Sylvan
-1 level 5 creatures
Haven
-1 level 5 creatures
Dungeon
-3 level 5 creatures
+5 level 2 creatures
Academy
+15 level 3 creatures
+5 level 4 creatures
Added mentors in the headquarters of each town, for improved hero building !
New arena players intro:
In order to play a good arena game, you must understand one important thing... Your money(and sometimes resources), are precious, and must be spent wisely.
You must split them between Hero Building, Artifacts, Troops, Mentoring and sometimes Spells. Depending on the situation, sometimes you might wish for a level 20 hero and artifacts with fewer troops(like with Dungeon), or you might want to buy more troops for a powerful punch( like with Haven where you can train up to 38 Champions) and a level 15-16 Hero with few artifacts.
Also, you must keep in mind that the map tries to simulate all the special skills, for all races... so, you can build mini artifacts with Academy, you can raise some troops with Necro ( there is a special building) or you can kill some of you opponents stacks in order to be able to set favoured enemies for Sylvan.
That being said I recommend that you(new players to the tournament) take a short tour of the map, in hot seat, before you start the tournament in order to find out what's what , and not be surprised on the first game, preferably with each race
