The Lost Vikings
I remeber with nostalgia about this incredible game. At it's time, it was my favourite game (pretty much like Heroes now).
In a way, they're similar games (the ones who played it know what I mean). And it had that specific charm; the closing movie rocked.
So, who played it? I finished it several times (Tomator was quite hard to beat; I hope I spelled his name well, I tend to forget it).
EDIT: I have a feeling Doomforge played this game. Let's remeber and cry, brother.

Totally agree with Joonas. TLV is Blizzard's only game I enjoyed. It really has style.
For those who don't know the game (shame to them, shame), here we have a movie with the lats stage (the boss kill): Last Stage.

Shame on you, Death.
Now, seriously, you can't figure out how great the game is unless you play it. And it worths playing.
...I'm a bit too lazy to make an elaborate post now.

Oh and I hate green orcs or whatever the hell that is
and tbh it feels boring to me (I hate games where a boss has 1000 life and needs 100 hits and is a repeating sequence of avoiding his attacks )

I didn't play the Lost Vikings when they were out, but I have heard of the game and looked it up in abandonia a year or two ago. Truly a great game, interesting, funny, challenging enough to get you thinking a bit, but not to get you stuck for a week.
P.S. I still prefer gobliiins though.

I used to play it a lot, never finished it tough. It's an incredibly tough game that will absolutely make your brain twitch from trying to find solutions to all the puzzles. An absolute must-play.

'Bout a week ago I download LV, the several days later they started about in this other forum, then two of my friends just started talking about it withou obvious reasons... and they don't even know eachother. Ok, I know it might seem crazy or "ego", but these things allways happens around me, every thing I do get's "popular" a week or two after I start doing it!
Any way, it's a great game one of the best blizzard have ever made!

Of course I did, mate Only the wacky world was challenging, the rest was very easy. I finished it too - Tomator wasn't that hard. I think that a few earlier levels were harder in general that the last one

It was made by Blizzard?
No wonder it has that childish atmosphere with (Light) Green Orcs, Vikings and Space Ships
I haven't played it but I don't find what's so interesting from that vid

Where's the kick-@ss spaceship theme?
Lost Vikings lose a lot of appeal without music
The SFX also seems PC-speakerish to me.

Tho i prefer Lemmings, the Lost Vikings game stands proud as one of the best logical games of the last century
Blizzard indeed has a history of making great games. Lost Vikings and Blackthorne are one of the jewels of the past that many new players didn't even heard about.

I guess supaplex beast TLV when it comes to logic, because the puzzles were outrageously simple. The game was challenging later on because of the reflexes required, not the thinking. Supaplex required both reflexes and thinking
And what I hated about lemmings was that it was mainly hard by guessing how many ****ing ladders do you need and at which place.

Agreed. The game is both challenging and funny. Olaf's comments were hilarious.

Some of those puzzles tormented me. I was much younger than now, tough.

It's actually the best game made by Blizzard. And you're way to optimist.
Quote: How does it differ from any other platform game?
Just play and see. It's totally free.
Quote: Of course I did, mate Only the wacky world was challenging, the rest was very easy. I finished it too - Tomator wasn't that hard. I think that a few earlier levels were harder in general that the last one
I simply knew. Great minds think the same. The wacky world was indeed challenging, but I'll alos nominee some the third level from the final world (the last before the final level). You had to finish three or four levels in a row, without being able to save. They had many traps, and if one viking was killed, game over. Tomator was not hard.

You must play it to see why it's so great. I agree with you about the childish stuff, tough; the spaceship world is the most boring, others are much cooler. They really have charm.

Found the game in one of my boxes with stuff i dont use anymore. It was good to remember this awesome brainfryer. I miss games like this. TLV and X-Com are the games that made people think and not the usual scheme: i came,i saw,i killed them all(reprhasing Caesar). As for other Blizzard's arcade games i must say that Rock'n'Roll Racing rocked too. *nosthalgy*
