Warcraft RP
So... My friend Gideongo wanted me to make an Warcraft RP, I thought myself that the idea was good and that we should make one... only problem is: I'm out of original ideas(I'm trying to make one where I look at World of Warcraft as Non-Canon). Please help me/make a warcraft RP.

To be honest, I've never been a big fan of fan-fiction. Not a bad idea, I just dislike using other people's worlds.

Well, a warcraft rpg would be difficult at best. If you want to keep to the spirit of it that is. It would deffinately be a lot of work.

Sorry I can't help, my knowledge of Warcraft is basically nil. Sounds like an interesting idea though.

Hmm...tricky. First of all, let's recap where everyone is at the end of WCIII: The Frozen Throne, shall we:
Arthas - possessed by Ner'zhul (aka. Lich King)
Kael - (you know, THAT Blood Elf) AWOL. Suppose he survived the final battle against Arthas.
That one Naga Hero whose name escapes me at the moment - Also escaped
Tyrande and Malfurion - At Kalimdor doing...
Ok...actually I don't know what they're doing.
Kel'thuzad - Leading the Lich King's troops back in Lordaeron I suppose.
Sylvana Windrunner - Leading the Forsaken and wanting to kill Arthas.
Thrall - Leading the Orcs near Kalimdor...hmm, what was the name of their city again?
Jaina Proudmoore - Guarding the last vestiges of humanity in that one island keep near Kalimdor.
A bit sketchy (haven't played WCIII in a LONG time), but functional.
Now where do we go from here?
We know that Sylvana is probably going to go hunt down Arthas.
We also know (according to WoW, but nothing in WCIII counters this, so it could be considered canon) that Azeroth still stands, so perhaps the humans over there are fighting to take back Lordaeron.
The Undead are split into two factions.
The Orcs are minding their own business as are the Night Elves.
There's my 5 cents for the day.

Maeve: Hunting Illidan but...
Illidan: He's probably dead...
Am I missing anyone important?

@Dagoth: Lol that is true.
I've never played WoW, but for all purposes of this thread, that's irrelevant.
This sounds like fun though. What are the classes going to be if this gets created?
(We COULD use the WoW classes. Blizzard put some nice thought into those. Then we create the canon version of WC III.5. Or something. )

I haven't read Reign of Terror. Homm RP I think is acceptable since this is a homm fan website. Warhammer, not interested. Pokemon same deal.
I actually dislike how most of these new RPs keep tacking on DnD type rules. It takes the focus off the character and more into the way in which they fight their enemies. That's just not appealing for a forum RP imo. I think forum RPs are about interaction, character development, and just pure writing.

I actually know quite a bit about the Warcraft World and Storyline. Since I've beaten the WC3 campaigns as well as having played WoW up through the frozen throne.
I think the best way to start an RP for Warcraft would be to maybe look at some maps of Azeroth.

I have actually looked on quite a few maps(Duh! As the god damn Warcraft fan I am, I just had to buy WC 1-3 and all of the WoW games[Even thou I think WoW suck, but I'm a freaking collector!]). Well, about Illidan:
Could be dead, but we didn't see him die in Wc3, Arthas just left him bleeding on the ground, if Vasjih(Naga, she was named something like that) or Kael'thas managed to pick him up, then he could live on. Also; The night elf hunting Illidan(name escapes me) got captured by Illidan and sits in prison in Outland... LOL!

This sounds like a great idea! Even though it seems there already is a lot of people who knows their Warcraft, I'll be glad to help in any way . So it's gonna be right after Arthas claims the Frozen Throne right?

Right...or something like that. Atleast the only cannon story is that which is before World of Warcraft and in other words everything before the second that is right after Arthas sits down on the frozen throne.

I have never done an RPG before, I have only RP;d in World of Warcraft.
Anyway, WoW is the Wc4. WoW is the real canon lore and sequel to Warcraft 3.
I can copy paste your text and tell you what happens:
Following the events of the Frozen Throne, Northrend enters some kind of global warming - making the ice melt there.
This, along with the rising threat of the Scourge in the land, awakens ancient races like the Vrykul (a viking inspired race, basically half-giants - humans evolved from them) emerge.
The Lich King quickly enslaves races like the Vrykul. In addition, the Lich King has a war going on in Northrend.
Underneath the continent itself, the Old God Yogg-Sa(u)ron lurks. The Lich King has a war against the Faceless and their master but he also exposes Yogg-Saron - because the blood of Old Gods (there are five on Azeroth) turn into powerful metal.
In this case its Saronite, which is very strong.
During the following years, the Lich King reinforces his buildings and fortresses with saronite etc.
---
Kael survives and returns to Outland.
Kael and his Belfs settle in the region of the Netherstorm, were there are A LOT arcane energies.
In addition, they steal a "dimensional fortress" called Tempest Keep there built by a powerful race called the Naaru (living beigns of light).
However a race on Outland known as the Draenei takes a sattelite from the Tempest Keep to flee from the shattered world.
The Draenei crash on Azeroth and join the Alliance much later.
Anyway, basically Kael likes demons - a lot. Eventully, Kael gets corrupted by the demons he has imprisoned etc.
Kael goes a bit mad and possessed and wants to summon the demonlord Kil'jaedan to Azeroth.
Kael'thas betrays Illidan in the Burning Crusade and uses the energies from the Netherstorm to restore the Sunwell and summon Kil'jaedan through it (just like the Highbourne tried to summon Sargeras from the Well of Eternity 10.000 years ago)
However a orginaztion called the "Shattered Sun Offensive" invades the Sunwell Plateu and banishes Kil'jaedan from entering Azeroth.
Kil'jaedan is the end boss in the Burning Crusade and the Sunwell is renewed after his defeat and the blood elves are redeemed.
Kil'Jaeden doesnt die though.
---------------------
Lady Vashj also flees back to Outland and serves Illidan there. She tries to create a new Well of Eternity for Illidan in Serpent Lake which lies in the region of Zangarmarsh.
Lady Vashj is later killed by forces of the Alliance and Horde.
--------
Tyrande and Furion returns home. However Furion has troubles in the Emerald Dream (a evil force known only as the "Nightmare" attacks it - although its later revealed that it is one of the old gods attacking it).
Basically, Tyrande doesnt do much in WoW except having a political battle against Archdruid Fandral Staghelm (who replaces Malfurion, who later gets trapped inside the Emerald Dream).
Also worth mentioning Fandral, the Grove of the Ancients and some Archdruids plants a new world tree called Teldrassil on the island of Kalidar. Teldrassil means Crown of the Earth in Darnassian and was however not blessed by the Dragons.
The Dragon though the Night Elves were selfish - since they actualy just created it in order to get their immortality back.
Teldrassil fails and lots of evil stuff happens there.
The Night Elves themself fights the Warsong Clan in Ashenvale and rebuilds there nation tries to cleanse the demon corrupted regions like Felwood etc...
------
Kel'thuzad does indeed lead the Scourge in Lordaeron. However the Argent Dawn (the Silver Hand was split into two parts - the zealous Scarlet Crusande and the more friendly Argent Dawn) raids the necropolis of Naxxramas and "kills" Kel'thuzad.
However Liches cannot be killed unless you destroy there "psycharte" (I cant spell it) and there was a betrayer in the Argent Dawn so Kel'thuzad ressurected himself and returned to Northrend with his Necropolis where he finally gets 100% killed.
------------------
Sylvanas Windrunner is battling with lots of enemies in Lordaeron. She fights the Alliance, the Scarlet Crusade, the Scourge and more.
More interesting, her high apothecaries are creating a new plague to use on the Scourge and her enemies.
However years later, the apothecaries betray her during the legendary battle of Angrathar the Wrathgate in Northrend.
The apothecaries and varimthas releases the plague upon all living and there is a huge battle for the Undercity.
Varimthas and a grand apothecary known as Putress are killed - but the Alliance starst the fourth war against the Horde.
Also there are a lot of Forsaken refuguees in the Horde capital of Orgrimmar.
-------------
Thrall is dealing with the humans and the enemies of the Horde. Mostly however he deals with a the Burning Blade clan, a renegade Horde clan who seeks to assassinate Thrall and make the Horde brutal and nasty again.
However mostly Thrall is going to Jainas house and kissing and hugging.
-----------------------
Jaina Proudmoore and Thrall tries to destroy the old hatred between Orcs and Humans. Jaina Proudmoore is in conflict with Stormwind, who thinks she is a little bit of a betrayer who doesnt hate the Horde.
----------------------------------
Maeiv gets captured by Illidan in Outland put into a cage. In the Burning Crusade players free her and infilitrate the Black Temple (Akama helps you). Maiev executes Illidan there.
Illidan survives and flees to Outland.
For no reason, he attacks the Draenei capital of Shattrath starting a conflict.
However Illidan has a minor role in the Burning Crusade, and mostly hides within the Black Temple (or the Temple of Karabor which is its real and orginal name - it was once a temple of light).

Well...interesting. Never knew that story about WoW, always just got the "storyless MMORPG based on a story" thing. Mabye we take in the WoW story, mabye we don't.
