Oh my god, that will be PERFECT. But I have NO idea how to work with def files. Very beautiful! Any chance I could get my dirty and noob hands on this masterpiece one day?

Cepheus' tutorial shows you how to replace a def file, but there's a way to add new...i dunno how but there is a way with ERM (u know better here )

Thanks a lot, now searching for def replacing guides. If I replace the archangels with it, it will be able to cast through ERM?

The people playing the map will be able to play with the new creature without installing it? Or they have to mess with their H3sprites as well?

Right. I can also recolor it in the red if u wish (to follow map conception).

As i know u can set via ERM how many times unit can cast his spells, so if u will set it to 0 - it wont be able to cast.

And what if the def file is placed in data, with the name of the original archangel def file? Need absolutely to insert it in H3sprite.lod or only data?

Yes, def files must be inside h3sprite.lod.

U can create a wog install package to simplify the process of installation. Anyway - u will need also to pack in h3sprite.lod all this new map objects u used in ur map.

Thanks. I don't need to pack the new objects because the patch is now available, so it is required for playing the map. But for the spartan, that is another story...few people accept to work into their H3sprite.lod. I will search for a solution.

yes....i agree with Darkey. I find this the only and the simpliest solution for players. For you...it may take time to learn how to make the package ^_^

It is not the problem. I will not take this amazing creature only because it is not worth changing all the lod. for one creature. I was not aware of what it has to be done to play with custom creature.

Vlaad pointed that I could make two versions of the map, and in the one with the Darkloke unit to upload my custom lod. But unfortunately it is not so simple, as for changing paladins to another unit I have to modify thousand lines of codes through 50 custom battles and 60+ custom quests.  And it already took me 2 months to code about 20% of the map.

Thank you again, Darkloke, the creature is amazing, too bad it requires so many constraints. From my experience with the actual WoG players, it is quite impossible to ask them to backup/replace anything. They simply do not know how to do that.

For what it's worth, I heard that Horn of the Abyss will work in a way that allows you to direct each map to custom .lod files (i.e. each map can have its own .lod replacements without affecting the rest).  But that's just hearsay and may not even be true.

That is already done in WoG (pre 3.59 exe builds).

As for the unit, Salamandre... Well, u have requested - i did it. U dont want it now - well, its up to u to decide.

As specified in the mail, if I have 7 new creatures, I will definitely take them!

Only one does not worth the effort of creating an install.

Creatures needed:

One custom archer for persians
One big and ugly cyclop (2 hexes)
One armored cavalry for persians
One greek archer for spartans
One light cavalry for persians
One foot unit for persians
One immortal unit for persians (the best)-foot unit, preferably 2 hexes

You don't need to be musician for this. In the instructions, the melody is played and the keys to press on are showed with #. Myself I wrote the melody on paper, but you can also write the # of square to click on to enable the sound. The quest is not difficult but so beautiful...

keep on the good work salamandra i never thought that u can do better than the previous maps but looks like i was wrong ...how about those creatures?will you have them?and i see there a different mini map from the one that s in the 2nd page...one of them is underground?
