The Dwarf Champion, the Banshee and the Forest Sage (I think that was his name, haven't played the thing for quite some time now) are more or less adequate leaders for a non-standard party build but the Baroness is doomed to remain a mere rod-planter. You just can't level up with her "attack". It's rather fair actually because the Legions have the best leaders overall, considering their high mobility.

Right. But she could level by attacking units in cities and ruins, when her Fear works like Paralyze. I guess it depends on the map.

Well, if you summon heavily, nuke the neutrals with spells before attacking and go for the kill only when they are very low on HP (and actually don't use the "attack" of the Baroness), then I guess it could work but it will take way too much time. You'll have a lot of problems with the towns as the Legions have only debuffing and damaging spells and while they are excellent against field parties, the towns are immune. More than 1 garrisoned creature will be a pain.

Guys, I've got a question. Does one export only the leader or do you get to carry over units and artifacts, too?

When you export a leader you export it with the items he wears, that means the artifacts, boots, tome, banner and whatever you have in your hands. You don't export any units.
Glad to see someone else is enjoying some disciples besides me

We've all enjoyed Disciples 2, such an awesome game. Too bad that they snowed up with Disciples 3, in my opinion even more than what Ubi had done with Heroes 6...
I am thinking of downloading Disciples 2 again, my body is craving for some good TBS. So the question is, Disciples 2, Heroes 5 or Age of Wonders 2? I guess all three of them eventually but lets start with Disciples 2.

Disciples 2 Gold is fabulous.
Apart from that AoW 3 completely does the trick for me, especially since they are working furiously to make it better ("suicide AI").

Because of the level of complexity the units and heroes have compared to D2, I tend to like D3 more. If they were to just expand on the combat system of D2 with perhaps adding one more row and new mechanics they woulda prolly made D3 a great game. I personally like how combat is in D3. I think the idea was to make encounters more "active" an thrilling with positioning being key. But I agree it lost it's flavor compared to D2.

For the time being I'm dissapointed with D3. I expected at least a slight variation in the creature department. But no, I launched a skirmish game and Empire's lineup is virtually the same.

Wouldn't that be a good thing? And by no means the creatures are the same. There are different abilities they have now which make them more versatile and worthwhile to get. It's not a no-brainer where there's obviously a better creature path than all the rest. They all have their ups and downs and that makes players decide their strategies.
I very much enjoy them now and don't think that a change in line-up would have been better. That woulda further alienate the game's feel from what we've experienced with D2.
