You may throw shoes at a president...
...but throwing them at a cop might not be a good idea.

I threw a ball at a cop once, he fell and then got a massive laugh attack and couldn't get up for several minutes. He didn't seem very mad at me afterwards!

May I throw my shoes at you, instead?
Yeah, saw that one yesterday. The Girl was 15 years old. 15. Years. Old. That would counts as Child Cruelty (word?) in my eyes.
Well, that girl wasn't an angel either, but this was unjustified.
How you treat those beneath you*, shows how you really are, not how you treat those above or next to you.

I don't think it was what she did that provoked him, it must have been the symbolism in the act.

What, like, "you throw your shoe at me, I throw you against the wall"?
Good to have mature and rational people in the law enforcement community.
Does anyone know what she was busted for anyway?

She was arrested for having stolen a car. She pleaded not guilty.
And yeah I was pretty shocked when I saw that on BBC... makes me want to bust that guys jaw. What a mother******... she is a freakin child and hes literaly mobing the floor with her. You've got the be sick to go all out on a child for heavens sake.
And you want to know the best part? The cop says the video is "misleading" he was only trying to "restrain" her in order to prevent her from futher "attacking" him with her shoes (not that she had any left...)

Hmmm, they broke standard takedown procedures. Instead of her shoe attack adding to her fines and jailtime, i think she should go free since they heavly violated standard takedown procedures.
That first kick was acceptable, but the punch afterwards and the other officer not doing anything about it......... Heck when i looked at it a second time, he "headbangs" her! I wonder how she is even able to walk afterwards(might even have suffered brain concussion of some grade.

The other cop was a trainee so the guy doing the kicking and punching was his supervisor. Needless to say the guy was pretty helpless (eventhough I don't think you'd need an invitation to stop a man beating a 15 year old girl senseless).
And ehm how is the first kick "acceptable" oO?! Dude she is 15 and she is a girl. All she did was fling her size 4 sneakers at him!! It's not like she assaulted him lol. But yeah maybe the guy has shoephobia and suffered a trauma when he was a child and got lost in a shoestore.

I would like to beat them senseslly... With a shovel for instance. Beating around a child is sick and retarded behaviour. There is no excuse for that. Those retards must be kicked out of police. Or thrown in jail for child abuse...

for police officers that actually know how they SHOULD be handling these arrogant spoiled brats.
I wished they did that here in Europe. Here, a cop is being sued by an escaped convinct after he was arrested agan, because he might have handled him too roughly -.- Convinct responsible for violent crimes, sueing a cop for handling him roughly...

Yeah right... beating the living daylights out of a helpless 15 year old girl is the way a grown up man should handle things.
Dude? Wtf? Do you actually see what he is doing to her? He is repeatingly beating her while she's lying on the floor (just for the sake of beating her... it's not like she could do anything), he smacks her against a wall (smacking as in hurling you against it with full force...) and kicks her in the stomach.
Yeah the man definetly knows how "spoiled brats" should be treated.
What kind of person are you? She is a child and a girl oO. How can any violence (not to even mention the degree of this) be justified against her?
It doesn't matter how old she is nor her sex for the matter. A ****ing policeman should behave better than that oO. You know law and order and ****?

If it was a 16 year old boy, people wouldn't even blink, even though the girl part actually propably IS important.

@Moonlith
Your problem is that you've never gotten your Western arse to a country where the hounds are actually allowed to do such things.
If you got caught and beaten in the middle of the street, in front of your girlfriend, by two cops just because they mixed you up with someone, like a friend of mine not too long ago, you'd probably be singing one hell of a different song.

I would have said the exact same thing if it was a boy that in that video.
The first kick was acceptable for 1 reason: The takedown, it was not needed but however its safer to do it that way. Let me put it like this, a person with no muscles can beat the crap out of the plumber if the first punch hits correctly. And i am not talking about a groin kick.
The headbanging and the beating however was completely violating "police law" or procedures as its called. Violating the procedures is someting that must be punished, this is not one of the "minor violations". I think its on the degree of "heavy violation".

While this was certainly wrong in many ways, some of you may be exaggerating. Headbanging? I've seen 1 kick, 1 serious punch and 2 slightly less serious punches. Off course it's not how they beat her, it's the fact that they beat her counts and they should be punished for it according to the laws. That being said, a man doesn't usually explode like that over something so trivial as a shoe, there must've been something more that we don't know, so I for one am not going to judge the cop, simply because I don't know the whole situation.
