1000 New Members in 2 Months
Yes that many new accounts where created in January and Febuary and on the begining of March. Most of this new members(about 85%) didn't even posted once , I remember that there was once upon an time about 2500 of us.
See it, the scale an magnitude of phenomenon:
So there is 6477 members that posted 0 or 3 times.... 64,85% of all members...

A year ago there was a serious spam attack on HC and Pan did a very serious cleaning when it ended. So, I guess it happens once in a while, but not too often because there aren't too many of those members usually.

I fail to see how this would affect your every day normal posting. Does this have a major impact on your overall experience of HC? I mean, they're not active, they WILL get deleted, so what's the big deal?

@William the members list is twice as huge as it should be. & i like when there is an order... only relevant and true members should be on the list.
And i am also willing to help to change that and not just complain about it
Probably the are tripple posters.... that had done it just for fun. Or it is an result of deleting post and threads so...

Well, I only joined HC to post some pictures I'd made for a mod. I didn't intend to stay for more than a week. I suspect most of your "one-post wonders" are the same, only interested in getting a question answered. Or maybe they've got limited internet access.
By the way, if the enormous memberlist is your problem, just sort it by posts in descending order - solved

Are you usually that self-righteous?  Big deal, let them and pan will clear it later. When I joined I hardly posted either and people often go away for weeks or months at a time. Do you think I would have remained if I returned one day and saw my account deleted?

@Asheera it is probably more irrational than logical feeling. It corrupts the real picture on how many of us are actually out there. I don't know how much space takes an one account with 0-3 posts. I am just little  that someone creates the account dosen't bother to use it it just trashing our space You are walking on your lawn and somebody comes and sits on it and leaves without a word leaving small papper from chewing gum. 1 or 3 of those wouldn't bother you but an 1000 in 2 months .
It is just me...

You'll never get a real picture anyway, because many people got inactive after years of posting. You're not gonna propose to delete them as well are you? What you see on the boards themselves is the only real picture there is, the rest is just meaningless statistics.

It is like cleaning your room or house, even if the mess around doesn't bother you, you should clean it once a while and even dump the old things from garage, cellar
No i was only thinking 0-3 posts members, which gave us irrelevant infos, spam or unanswered questions.
And thanks to Vokial there will not be an 10,000th member festival
