Wow, improving the HC? Here are some ideas.
- I'd let the new joiners go by the CoC and FAQ before they could get a chance to join.
- The mods should have the ability to place sticky topics on top of each forum.
- A dispute forum should be opened with me as mod

Uhm Addiction? Moi? 
It comes from the fact that I saw the film about 5 years ago and considered it then (and still do) the finest Sci-Fi film of all time. Since coming onto the internet I have discovered hundreds of sites on Aliens related things and thousands of people who feel the same. I happen to love many of the quotes from the film and the action scenes are really good.
Why Hudson then? Well when I set up a hotmail account they could only offer me my name with 36 after it. Reckoning that no-one would remember this I went for privatehudsonuk. Since that was my e-mail it was easier to also make it my nickname, so now I use privatehudson (or variants of it) on every forum. I also found a pretty good signature for him in the animated gif .
How far am I addicted? Well so far I only have all the films on tape and Aliens itself on DVD. I do not go to conventions, and probably would not buy memorabillia (such as armour from the film or whatever). I do have an aliens theme on my computer, and aliens sounds on Yahoo and MSN messenger though. I do use terms from the film a lot and joke a lot about being hudson or a marine, but at the end of the day it's just something I use for a laugh. I have also only seen the Aliens film itself 6 times (not addiction at all) and could probably tell you almost exactly who said what and when if you gave me a quote, but that's about it. I like it and it's fun, but it in no way rules my life.

Nice, I actually knew the artist (the man actually makes furniture and stuff too - great) before seeng the films. I enjoyed the first one most (seen it 3 times) but haven't seen the last yet. But it are great SF-action-movies, very true. If you like SF, you should consider trying to find Solaris/Solyaris, imo the best SF film ever made. It's russian but it exists with english subtitling.

The nickname is a character from the film aliens, a marine called Hudson of the rank Private First Class, but since I'm lazy I shortened it to privatehudson. I chose it because I loved the film and the character and would reccomend the film to anyone
Oh and it means nothing, unless you count me being a complete loon!
