Q for Pandora!
If you could date someone from HC who would it be and why? *I'm guessing her response will be either Lichking, Sir_Stiven, or even Dragon Slayer *

Do I play pokemon? no - final fantasy? yes! I'm an addict, just replayed 7, and playing 8 now - but I've played em all
Who would I date.. well Asmodean! Duh!! We women always want the unattainable ones, you didn't know? Seriously, look at his pictures *sigh*
Okay okay... the truth. The big truth is that I'm married - so this is a bit of a silly question for me isn't it? I would say tho, that I would be inclined towards one of the older (not old - but older) members, like Xarfax, LichKing, or Khayman just because we'd have more in common.
Then again, if we're just supposing and reality wasn't a factor, Daddy seems like a good option too
Hmmm... now my question is for Redsoxfan: What do you feel is the stupidest decision you ever made?

Hmmm... tough question...
Everytime I don't take advantage of making a new friend, meeting a new person, getting to know someone better, spending more time with my friends. That's what I regret the most.
My question goes to... I need to see who's in the game...

Shadowcaster - What inspired you to start writing and when did you realize that you loved writing and wanted to pursue it further?
It wasn't one singular moment so much as it was a collective build-up, but I always loved writing short comical ditties when I was younger, so that may have been where it started. (Interesting fact: The villian in the most memorable of my early stories' name was Dr. Chimp, an evil monkey genius. Just thought I'd throw that out there. )
Eventually, I began to write more often as I entered into competition with my best friend in high school. It was friendly, but very competitive. By the end of our sophmore year, we ended up calling it a draw. He had me beat in essays and the like while I was ahead of him in writing narratives and poetry. I felt proud of myself, as he was smarter than me by far in just about every other field. I had this one thing to hold to my name.
Then there was this site, which also contributed greatly to my love of and aptitude for writing.
I found my way into Kuma's Tavern around the beginning of my 10th grade year and quickly joined the group that would eventually start the series of Saga threads, two of which can still be found in the Glade today (go check them out if you haven't). The magnitude of the talent exhibited in that thread overwhelmed me at first, as it was so great and the story so complex, but as I grew, I began to fit in more and more in the story. My motive was to try and match the talents of those around me. I still don't quite know if I have reached that level yet or not.
Finally, in December, Let's Have War leapt onto the scene. It wasn't a serious thread, and was one of the first para-roleplaying threads that got off the ground on this site. I joined in hopes that it would turn into something like the Saga series, as those threads were dying away due to member absence, and I tried diligently to make the thread more serious so I could get my writing fix. Eventually, it did grow more serious, and each page grew more epic than the last, the story erupting into one of the most engaging stories I have ever read, period. It is there that I learned and refined several writing techniques that sought to keep the readers' interests over the increasing lengths of the posts I was writing in that thread. And I am still learning from that thread to this day.
Phew...
Next question goes to Titanium Alloy:
Who or what first led you to post in the Glade?

Hey, a question for me
well the first time in the glade for me was a n00bish misunderstanding of the term "RPG games" i thought it meant for discussion of other RPG computer games, so i posted a thread about MM8 there! then it was moved to the tavern and then to the library where it lay down and died.
but my first real post in the tavern was when i saw how cool looking the Dread Pirate thread was looking, and how a blank spot was open so i decided to go along with it, making a pirate hunter. i think the idea is good of these RPGs.
now ive got one for Asmodean:
how did you find Heroes community when you first came here?

I found it because I was searcing for a site that I could buy Winds of War from - ebay wasn't helpful and I'd exhausted all other possibilites.
When I got here I dunno. I mostly posted in Altar, then in Other Side. Then I got into the RP'ing in Glade.
I thought some members were nicer than they turned out to be, and so many people have left, and new people joined.

Quote: What's a typical wranglers day like?
Well, it all starts at about 6:00 – 6:30 AM when we wake up (an hour earlier than all the other camp staff, mind you) to feed the horses. One of us goes to the grain silo we have there, a small one, it only holds about two tons. If it’s a windy day, you get covered in grain dust. On a hot afternoon when we feed, the dust sticks to you because of the sweat. Not the most comfortable thing, as you can imagine.
On the opening day of camp, there is the normal check in after lunch. Where we dress up in those snappy outfits.
The administration at the camp really doesn’t like any evidence of horses in the parking lot, so someone (usually my boss) will clean it up. I got stuck doing it one time and the camp director rolled up in a golf cart and took this picture.
Most days though, we teach classes and give trail rides. One of the classes we started this past summer was roping. I came to camp the first week and had to learn how to throw a rope, and teach it the next day. It’s not as easy as it looks. But I was able to teach the classes well enough to rope my fellow wranglers.
In the evenings we have to get all set up for trail rides. Tack 16 horses before the munchkins show up. We had it down to a science toward the end of the summer. Five of us, usually, tack 16 horses in about 20 minutes. Our fastest time was about 16 minutes. I’m not sure you can appreciate that number though.
My boss, the head wrangler, gives his little spiel over safety then we put them on.
Then hopefully without incident, we go though the gate and down the hill on the trail. This time I just had to pose for the camera on my pony.
Usually everything’s fine and we come back in one piece.
Most days we work for 14 hours per day, in the sun all day. By the end we are exhausted. Then we get up 6-7 hours later and do it all again.
It’s hard work, little kids are very stressful, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat. This coming summer will be my third year.
My question is for Dingo, you live in Idaho, have you ever been on a horse? A funny story perhaps?

Yes, I have been on a horse. I was with a group of very friendly people, and we went on a stroll though the woods. It was very calm and relaxing. The horse wasn't the most comfortable ride though.
Gorman, what inspired you to write and to join LHW?

Hmmm.......maybe as a Mod I shouldn't answer that too fully
Only joking.
Well posting in the Other Side in some of the debates I had a few IM chats with Peacemaker and I consider her to be a classy lady.
It took me a while to get the tosser thing straight in my head though. I guess I made more serious posts back then that I have done recently, so I didn't post much in Tavern.
I think Svarog woulda been the first proper 'friend' from HC cos we used to chat loads on MSN late at night.
Sadly, going to uni has kinda killed that off cos I can't stay up to three in the morning very often
Then I started chatting to Woock as well, and he's a prety funny guy.
Once I got into the RP's in Glade I started to chat to more people on AIM and MSN, yourself, RSF, Dingo and stuff.
And now that I'm a Mod, pan and I occasionally chat - and I think she's got a wicked sense of humor!
So....hope that covers it.
My next question is to Woock:
What was the first Queen song you ever heard, and were you an instant fan?

Interesting question
It's hard to tell which was the first song of theirs I've heard, since it was so long ago, but I know I've seen the video to The Invisible Man a few times as a lil' kid. This may have contributed somewhat to my becoming a fan several years later
My question goes to...
Wolfman
