Trashid's advanced Paint creating tutorial
Ever wanted to create cool monsters? The Paint is the best tool for creating one! I will try to make the Grim Reaper(its not the most creative idea, i leave better to you). If you have an idea you can start:
1.Preparation:
Open the Paint and copy first monster you need. Paste it with the background. Now paste all other creatures around your first.
If theyre colours are to different, you can change them in Gimp or Photoshop. In my case everyone is good beyond the monk. Im changing only him. After that you should have something like this:
(if you got different colour around him be shure to recolour it.)
Change the second colour as the background. In creatures around your first leave only the parts you need(now you can get other parts that will be important, like other hand).
Now lets get to work!
2.Creating:
I will start from face. We want the skull inside the hood. How to do it? First copy the hood and paste it near. Now heres our star selecting: take this tool and draw around the skull. Take the down line and move it once up. Grab it and move on the hood. Also clear the coopied hood inside:
Now grab the hood as the skull and move it exactly on the other hood.
You should get something like this:
Ok now we got the head with the skull inside. I will create arms now.
Erease arms that "stand out".
To erease the rest of hands you should take the texture under or over the hands, copy it and paste.
That way you can simply add textures to new units example:
Crystal Disciple is crystal golem with crystal dragon texture, parts.
Now we can add our parts, as the skull before(i will rotate the hand).
Now we want him to hold the scythe. We should do this exactly as the hood. Copy the first hand and paste near. Rotate the scythe and place it on hands. Move the copied hands on the other(with our special selection).
Almost everything is done, we have to change his legs. Erease all from belt below. Grab the cloth (legs) and move it up. Try to size it and match to upper body.
Finally weve got our Reaper!
Hope youre monster is cool.
You can post your creatures here if you used mine technics.
Also tell me what do you think.

Mmm... I've always prefered paint when copy/cut and paste jobs above photoshop or any other photo/picture editing/making software!

A nice tutorial, but since you refer to Photoshop for recoloring anyway, might as well make the entire creature in Photoshop
