Blizzard developing a fifth game
Blizzard has announched job openings (pick me, pick me! ) for a FIFTH game in developement.
I think this is enough to tell people that yes, Blizzard does use their money very well.
Thus far, Blizzard are developing these five games. In order for release dates.
1. Starcraft II = In beta. Probably this summer.
2. New World of Warcraft expansion = Probably revealed at BlizzCon in August as usually. Comming fall next year.
3. Diablo III = in alpha. Probably comming around near the third WoW expansion.
4. Next-Gen MMO = Top secret. Blizzard says its a new series but fans speculate thats its actually World of Starcraft or something. Probably comming 2011 or something Announched at BlizzCon?
5. A new unannounced game (New IP?). Probably comming in like 2012 Uses WoWs engine for testing so we can assume thats its not an RTS.
I believe that this game is Starcraft: Ghost 2.0
Recently, Blizzard want to license the name Starcraft: Ghost in China but were denied.
It currently uses WoWs engine for testing. I dont believe its an MMO, since they are already developing two mmos (WoW and World of Starcraft?).
We shall see soon.
What do you think the new game is? Part of their supposed new series?

I got to hand it to them. They're really smart guys
Though, i assume it's because they have enough money to buy a legion of people like mvass as marketing consultants, but still...

I don't think it's Ghost, they've already tried making that twice and it only got Blizzard North shut down. Evn though it would be great marketing to fail making a game and wait a couple of years before actually making the game. And it's a game that's really wanted by most blizzfans, so it's not impossible. Who knows?
XeroX: Could you please link, I can't find it?

When you'll work at Blizzard, Xerox, I'll be raising grandchildren
If they're ressurecting SC: Ghost, then they should done this a few years ago. Nova was so damn sexy *drools*
Or maybe it's a sp version of WoW? Who knows... Or perhaps a prehistory of some other game, like Diablo? Speculations, speculations... I need a drink to calm my mind.

Uhm... Blizzard has never said that they shut down Starcraft: Ghost. The project was frozen to be worked on later.
They have said several times that they didnt shut down Ghosts development completly. They put it on hold because they wanted to focus on WoW.
They also said Warcraft IV was probably comming... but not very soon more like... 20 years?
As for me working on Blizzard, it was a joke.
I like my own home town and dont want to leave it and my family to work in France. Also I want to become an IT technican. Atleast if I think realistic.
I got it from blizzplanet.com
Here are some links for job openings (and thus information) about their two unannounched games.

I thought some Blizz employee hinted once that WarCraft IV will use the same engine as SC2.
If so, it must come pretty soon, unless they want a game on a very outdated engine. Simple logic.
So it may as well be WarCraft IV.

I can prove its Ghost! More and more thinks hint at it.
1. The Chinese recently banned its name because it contained "Ghost" in it. Blizzard was trying to license the game or something there.
2. Blizzard said that Ghost was defintly not dead and would show up sometime.
3. It uses WoW engine for testing purposes. Makes sense if its an FPS. Remember, that they probably started to develop Ghost again like two weeks ago or something
4. Blizzard has this week talked with Microsoft about the new upcomming Xbox 360.000 (lol I just made up the name, but its true). Ghost was supposed to run on Xbox and nintendos Game Cube.
Also, I remember the Wc4 thing.
It was Rob Pardo, Blizzards lead "president".
He said that it might come but they have no plans for it at the moment. He said that they would contiune Warcrafts storyline and lore through WoW and if Wc4 came it would be very, very VERY far in the future.

Even if i do hope for WC 4 coming asap, it is too impossible, it might never be made.
Reason? the same reason as Xerdux mentioned, the logic is simple, they will continue Warcraft story through WoW, unless WoW die (which will happen in very far in the future). I've mentioned about this in topics created by Xerox (forgot the name).
Luckily, there are two major great RTS now, DoW 2 and SC 2, but imo, somehow SC 2 is SC 1 with new graphic and several new things, which i fear will lose to DoW 2, at least for non SC fans, SC 2 is hardly the sequel of SC 1, even though i'm a SC fans, i kinda agree with them. Seems to me that i'll play SC 2 for its storyline, but for gameplay and competitive match, it's DoW 2.

@Swamplord: No, I meant an sp RPG or Action game in WC world.
DoW2 has a lot of tactical thinking in it while SC2 is a typical build up and rush to kill RTS. Both have their + and - though.

Still, there are no significant differences beetwen SC 2 and SC 1 except graphic, and new units, the rest is just warcraft 3 elements (like for range units, higher ground > lower ground, etc). As a SC fan, i want something much more innovative than those, some very innovative feature, maybe like several things in Universe at War, a major change like WC 2 to WC 3. That's why i'm gonna stick to DoW 2, the only drawback of DoW 2 are it needs high spec (especially for graphic card) and the races are still not balanced (eldar is underpowered for most player, except pro eldar).

Hello, As a SC1 multiplayer fan i can tell you that i dont give a .... about the story line all i care is to nerf the sience vessels if they will be there Its all about the gameplay that counts and there are many players who will play SC1 Just as there are those who play Diablo1.
SC was and is good because its a 15 min match up
