Title Needed
((This is a story that is a work in progress. Feedback is welcome and would I would be appreciative, even if negative. The first part is just explination of some of the 'common' words that will be used. Oh and I am also looking for ))
Divide - The 'void' between our world and Verhi. Normally too great to cross safely. Sometimes, however, it can safely be crossed..if you know where and how.
Verhi - The world of the 'Fae'. Made entirely of positive magical energy. Anybody from our world who crosses into this world will eventually be Fae themselves.
Fae - The Fae come in many shapes and sizes, though they do not have the concept of good or evil..some love to cause Mischief when they have the chance. Some are considered by humans to be good or evil depending on how dangerous this mischief is.
N'dif - When the Fae come here they start collecting negative magical energy. Which eventually causes them to become insane. Since it does not fade in time, nor can it be gotten rid of, the Fae only visit for short times. Once they reach a certain point, they avoid crossing at all unless it is an emergency. Since they are essentially ageless this happens a lot sooner then they would like. Every Fae searches for a way to combat N'dif.
Je'han - Normally when a Fae goes insane, it parishes quite quickly. Fae need magic to live, and N'Dif strangles that magic. Some survive however. Their magic becomes 'negative' in nature, feeding off of the life force of others. Thus is a Je'han born. It lives to kill, and kills to live...Various Myths (Werewolves, Vampires, etc) are actually just Je'han.
Seer - Very few humans can actually see Fae or Je'han. Those that can are said to have the 'sight' or be a Seer. It is considered a curse and those with the sight are feared, avoided, or worse.
Fae'Nar - Even fewer can be 'gifted' by the Fae. They can draw off of Fae magic, and are even more feared then a Seer. Interestingly, they can not SEE the Fae. Often a Seer accompany a Fae'Nar. They can also travel the Divide when the two worlds are close enough. They are almost always gifted swordsmen or fighters.
Fae Weapons - There were six built by Fae for mortals a very long time ago.
Dream Hammer - This weapon can not be used by force. Only somebody who wishes peace can even touch it. Believed Destroyed by greed.
Eagle Feather - An arrow that always returns to the bow that fired it, and never misses. It tends to have a mind of it's own however.
Lost to Anger a long time ago.
Talon - Companion to Eagle Feather. A bow that never required (or would fire) a normal arrow. It provides its own, and the only other arrow it will use is Eagle Feather. Said to be able to conjure lightning also. Believed destroyed by Envy.
Arcos Guantlet - Amplifies the strength of any mortal who wears it, but also their weaknesses. It is the second most dangerous weapon to weild. Unknown location.
Bloodblade - The most dangerous of the six. It renews the health of its owner..at the expense of it's owners foes. Believed to be responsible for the first Vampire. By far the most powerful of the six, and by far the most dangerous to weild.
Cyndi's Dirk - This odd little blade will never strike an innocent, from behind, or for an unjust cause. Also called the Thieves Bane, it often curses itself to an assassin or thief and causes them all kinds of mischief.
Palebos - The elite of the most powerful kingdom in the lands. Bullies and thugs by heart, they are not afraid to abuse..I mean use their power for their own agenda. As long as they keep the 'peasants' under control their King could care less. However, they are making enemies of ALL the other kingdoms.
Kal'ch - A rather enormous kindom that is much bigger then the other kingdoms. Interestingly enough, though they have more people then most of the other kingdoms combined, they are not considered a powerful kingdom.
Nih - The most powerful kingdom in the lands. It's recent rulers have each been worse then the last, and it is making many enemies. With the 'enpowerment' of the Palebos it is making them even faster now.

do the humans have a banner under which they fly?
Is this set in a place that would be something like medieval Europe?

((Well no single banner, lots of different kingdoms, some at odds with each other. It would be like Midevil Europe yes. Also keep in mind that the Fae are pretty much mistrusted at best. They are notorious pranksters and mischief makers. Still working on 'common' words and then this will be the 'Biography' page of the main characters.))
General Derix - The leaders of the Palebos, and most hated man ever. Believed to actually run Nih, with the king as his puppet.
Prefers to do his own dirty work and is often in the field with his men.
Yalan Timox (Lan) - A young soldier in Nih. The 'protaganist' of the story.
Juhan Xie (Xie) - A soldier of the Nih that has been raised to hate all Kal'Ch. With a passion. He and his sister are both 'seers'. He is well trained in swords and the bow.
Leona Xie (Lee) - One of the few seers (along with her brother) that people respect. She is as generous and helpful (her brother is too except to Kal'Ch) as the Palebos are selfish and cruel. She is a skilled healer.
((Other important characters will come as they are introduced in the story))

There was a haze about the feild of battle as Lan looked around. Bodies were everywhere, and the enemy just kept coming. There seemed no end to them. Something was wrong with them, they were not .. natural.
He had no time to figure out what, as one of the .. beasts lept at him. Twice as tall as a man, with fur and fangs. No..it was human size with ashen skin. As he fought desperately he wondered in the back of his mind why they would not maintain one form. Something was wrong, very wrong. He should have no chance against these .. things but he had already killed dozens.
As this one too fell he realised he was exhusted. He couldn't keep this up, nobody could. He was going to die, and he didn't even remember coming to this battlefield. Sweat was pouring from his body, the next attack would be his last...
Lan woke with a start face drenched in sweat. He was in the barracks, safe and sound, his heart sounding like thunder to his ears. It was hours before he had to wake officially, but there was no way he would return to sleep that night.
((Gah only a couple of paragraphs in..and already totally blocked.))
