Guess there's nothing wrong with it. I just personally despise Facebook and MySpace and all it's sisters and brothers.

I've neer gotten into this Facebook hype. If I wish to see someone, I just make sure I see him/her. I don't need Facebook for that. On the other hand, I must admit that I have an account, but since I never bothered with it, it's as empty as Australia.

Facebook is very convenient. It has several advantages. You can talk to friends who are far away. You can join groups with people who have similar opinions. And sometimes it's just easier to talk to someone over Facebook that it is in RL.

Come on people I know many of you have Facebook account so why not to join? as mvass said, only the small profile "card" with quite minimal portrait pic can be seen by other members and no any personal info (except your name) is displayed.
And there's no any gigantic group pic saying we are a group of nerds or something, so don't worry
mvass, if this grows larger could you put a list of members who have joined to the very first post here?
