Anyone playing Quake Live?
I am 
Quake Live
Its basically, or well, it's an exact copy of Quake 3 Arena (with a few extra maps) but in your browser, you just need to download a small plugin for your browser and then you can play while the rest is downloading.
I never played Quake 3 online so this is like a trip to my childhood for me  (10 years ago  )
I kinda suck right now... my frags/death are 1,376 / 1,630.

So, anyone else playing? Not sure if there's any major audience for a crazy-ass-fraggin-berserk(though very sophisticated)-FPS on this forum but anyways
Oh, and if you do decide to try it out, be warned that you need to complete a 10 minute tutorial which will decide your skill level (making it easier to team you up with players at the same level of skill as you.)

I'm playing Quake Wars which is similar to Quake, unlike Quake 3.

I currently play far cry 2 online. not as good as timesplitters 3, but that's ok.

The only quake game i ever liked was the Quake 3 Arena! But that was boring after some weeks..
But that is just me! I hate online gaming, cuz i always loose to some geeks hwo spend theire entire life on gaming...
There has to be some time to party arround in the big cities ;p
Get some girls and just keep the alcohol pumpin arround in the body for hours..

no patch yet. from what I hear the MGL is seriously imbalanced (maybe the AS-50 too) that's the reason why I play unranked match, everyone starts with rank 1 gun, so there is less chance to get pwned by a mgl or an AS50, and weirdly, I've only ever seen TWO guys using the mgl, most people seem to go for the AS50, the commando's grenade launcher, or the carl G.
what is more annoying to me, is that I build good maps (I studied tenths of the best maps) and despite promoting them, I can hardly get people to downlod them and even less to play them, except for my 1st map because it got on the list of maps recommended by ubi.

MGL is 1 shot 1 kill, no aim required.
I usually use Dart rifle or MP5.
Oh and crossbow is almost imba, too

I was actually thinking of picking up Far Cry 2 for my 360 soon... is it any good in single player? (Cuz I'm in lack of decent internetz)
I saw a sniper video and it kinda charmed me you know Oh, and the hangglider looks nice.

Umm...I wouldn't suggest spending much money on it.The single player is LAME, HORRIBLE, !
Sniping ain't really fun in that game, unless you use dart rifle you get the whole pack of guards to come after you, even if you hide in the bush.
Oh and EVERYONE want's to kill you for no apparent reason .
Also, the gliders usually only manage to kill you

Ah, ok then. I didn't think the Dart rifle seemed like so much fun anyway, and if that's the only source of real hidden-sniper fun, I'll pass.

my favorite weapon in single player is the M1903 (the bolt action rifle) and enemies can have a lots of trouble finding me.
tried the silenced sniper, it was good, but it exploded in my hands quite quickly lol.
actually, it's not that hard to stay hidden (when you got a bit used to the game) but from what I know, it's quite challenging to not alert the enemies, even at night and using silenced weapons.
everyone tries to kill you indeed, except in cease-fire areas. that's weird.
the single player may indeed seem repetitive, the best thing you can do is probably to try other weapons and tactics from time to time.
you'll need to drive a lot too. if you like exploring, that shouldn't be too bad.
I don't use gliders either I tried once or twice, and crashed into a mountain lol
the best thing is the online mode imo, as they are some very good custom maps (provided they get hosted lol)
