No, seriously. due to the large amount of grass types in the area (marowack/cubone's natural enemies) they have began to stay together more and build stronger, familial bonds hence the ghost typing.

Hmm.
That little Dragon looks like the first form of this Generations "high level badass Dragon" Pokemon (like Salamance etc).
And the Axe-head-whatever one, apart from it's strange name (I first thought it's a new Pokemon type  ), appears to be a Chimera Pokemon...

it is already weird. There are no gyms, no apparent pokémon league, we now have "ULTRA BEASTS" and "Z-MOVES" AND "ALOLAN FORMES" and a pokémon which is literally called "Type: Null" (sic) (yet isn't typeless???).
idek wtf is going on...

I have for a long type been hoping for them to shake it up a bit, and now they have. Weirdly enough they took a different path then what I had expected.
No gyms is a great idea. Though the island challenges is a different take on that. But it might be a really fun way of doing the "gyms"
The aloan forms is one of the best ideas in a long time. Better then mega evolution. Though I fear it is a way of them saying "we have no more ideas!"
Speaking of no more ideas: artificial pokemon such as Type: Null and ULTRA BEASTS. What is that?! I know we have Porygon 1, 2, 3 - what ever.. but I think they are deviating to much from the safe road.
I am excited yet a little reluctant

Rockruffs evolved froms look nice. But dog Pokemon almost always seem to deliver
Those UB Pokemon look like they were taken from a different game. Maybe that was their intention? Moreover, the red one is a mosquito on steroids

I am starting to think UBs are some sort of failed experiment in which human DNA is mixed with pokémon DNA to create them. (notice that two of the UBs look like two NPCs).
The Aether foundation also wears labcoats which remind me of B2/W2 Villain Colress, who was responsible for Kyurem and the DNA splicers.
Speaking of which, "Aether" is the supposed "5th element" in Greek philosophy, together with Air, Earth, Fire and Water. It's also an element needed in Alchemy to turn lead into gold.
Calling it now: The Aether Foundation are antagonists and team Skull are anarcho-liberals who vehemently oppose their genetic modification practices.
in be4 some pokétuber copies this theory on their channel and advertises this as their own. Please reference me if you do, kthx.
