I don't understand the test, why does "going out" have to be something sexual related? I've often gone out with a single friend and enjoyed it. There's an episode of Frasier, where he gets a new friend by inviting this guy to dinner, nothing romantic implied or anything.

Interprete it as "going on a date" if you must.
On a different note, and I know that there has been talk of this already, but who's planning their initial team already?
I know I am and I know Kareeah has plans for an all pshycic team, but I'm not sure if that's initial.
So here's what I'm thinking so far:
Blastoise [Water];
Whatever Chespin evolves into [Grass/?]; (May change to Venusaur and Whatever Froakie evolves into depending on type-overlap)
Blaziken [Fire/Fighting];
Tyrantrum [Rock/Dragon];
something [Ground];
something [Flying];

My team:
Charizard
Evolved Froakie
Tyrantrum
Noivern (though I suppose he will be a late game Poke, so maybe Pancham)
Pyroar or Pangoro, later replaced by Yveltal
Talonflame (because of the Fly move, but later this can be changed by teaching Charizard, Noivern or even Yveltal)
As you can see there are a couple of Fire-types so I will probably change that later in the game. Electric types are useful and I like Mega Ampahros design (Ampharos is also one of my all-time favorite Electric types) so if there will be a possibility to get one I will include him in my rooster. Also a Grass type would be useful, but that depends on what Pokemon will be available (Gogoat seems a nice choice, because you can use him for travel). I usually don't go with Psychic or Ghost types, because Dark Pokemon are usually enough (they can learn some Ghost or Psychic Moves).
BTW for the first time ever, I think I will rotate my team a lot (before I usually had a stellar, unchangable team, but now, with all those Mega evoulutions, and returning Pokemon it will be hard to make a choice  )

so far, it's defo
- Fennekin evo (Fire/presumably Psychic)
- Amaura (Rock/Ice) - i'm actually really intrigued by its ability and am eager to test it
- Crobat (Poison/Flying) - def picking a poison type now that it has been boosted and Crobat is the best of those AND is going to be in this game as Zubat ALWAYS appears in the caves. Besides, can't play without a token Flying type, so i might as well make it Crobat
- *something fairy* - obviously, i'll have to test this new type. If given the opportunity, i'll pick Mawile, since fairy/steel is a great combo that is only weak vs ground and fire. If Mawile isn't available, but Fairy + one of Grass/Ghost/Dark/Electric/Dragon/Ground is, this will be my pick instead (as long as it's not Dedenne because SCREW THOSE BLOODY PIKACHU RIP-OFFS)
- *something water* - Can't skip Surf. also, i'll need SOMETHING that is good against Fire, since the rest of my team... lol. IDEALLY a dual type with one that i don't already have on my team.
- Furfrou - i'm already in love <3
not using the Kanto starters and not using legendaries because that is LAME.

What do you mean LAME? True, Legendaries are usually OP (and thus popular), but most of them have great designs (not always though, I don't like those "cutie" types like Victini). And I'm just in love with Yveltals design as a Poke so it's natural that I'll get him just like Noivern (whose design I also like, and which, from what I see, is not a popular pick). Starters are usually hit n' miss (older generations are better imo), but it's kinda my tradition to have my starter for the whole game (Pokemon Partner and all the other sh*t  ). Though the devs added some confusion by making an additional I Gen pick...

i wouldn't use them BECAUSE they are so ridiculously powerful in comparison to... you know, most non-legendary pokémon that aren't Dragonite and Arcanine. Sure, they're more powerful, but... you don't NEED them to beat the game, so what is the point, rly.
Currently, i'm playing through Plat again and my team is Houndoom/Bronzong/Togekiss/Mamoswine/Tentacruel/Rotom, with Tangrowth as a back-up, and i'm perfectly fine with it. No legendaries required .
idk i just get more gratification from beating the elite four with a more unconventional/underrated pokémon in my arsenal, like a Clefable or a Tangrowth or a Jynx.
Also, i don't rly enjoy using obnoxious fanfavebeasts such as Charizard or Garchomp because they are overused. WOW I BEAT THE ELITE 4 WITH A *GYARADOS* IN MY TEAM, HOW.... epic, original and daring. :-/

I'm doing a Black2 playthrough with Weezing, Ferrothorn (Macho brace + Gyroball OP  ), Swanna and Volcarona. Want to catch piloswine but I still don't know what my 6th will be.

Lexx, your Roggenrola won't evolve into it's third form without trading, which I think is impossible with a rom.

i know, but i figured i'd need it to beat Lenora (an assumption which proved correct). I will end up boxing it somewhere in the midgame, no worries.
so far i have caught:

Munna
Pidove
Tympole
Timburr (a female one; lol)
team: the same as before + drilbur
eta: i have no idea how i can find shaking grass. I've never really NOTICED it (I apparently ran into it once without noticing since i battled an audino a while back). It's ANNOYING

@Lexxan: Just run back and forth until you hear rustling, then look around for it. You don't have to be standing in the grass when you run around to trigger it, either.
My projected team is obviously going to depend on what Psychic types I can get my greedy little hands on, but my pre-playthrough plan is as follows:
Fennekin – this is assuming a Psychic final evolution. If it doesn't get that, I still plan to take it as my starter, but it'll wind up in the box until after the main game is finished once I find something to replace it with.
Gardevoir or Gallade depending on the typing of the rest of the team, and the Nature and gender of whichever Ralts I catch first (I'm assuming Ralts will be catch-able since they're giving it Fairy typing this Gen; it seems likely to me they'll want it available to showcase that).
Malamar - Contrary!
Mewtwo - I don't like the Mega evolutions but the fact that he has TWO and they're well-advertised suggests to me he'll be available. And since I haven't played with Mewtwo in my team as a regular member since original Gold version...
Xatu – I like the critter but I've never gotten to use it during a normal playthrough. Time to fix that. Also, Fly. The biggest problem here is that I haven't seen anything that suggests Natu/Xatu will be available.
Final slot is TBD depending on what HM slots I need to fill. Espeon will probably be an option given they need to give us access to Sylveon somehow, and may stand in for Mewtwo if he's not available or not available until after the Elite Four. Meowstic looks interesting in that I might be able to use it to plug weaknesses in the sweeping/tanking/stalling respect. Starmie would be nice for Surf. I MIGHT allow myself one off-type Pokemon either for HMs or coverage, we'll see.

HOW THE HELL DID I POST THIS TWICE O__O
Anyway, errr. The first gym is bug, the second is rock and you get the Kanto starters at level 10. Korrina is a Fighting Type leader and she has a Lucario.

Niiice!
Totally unexpected with Charizard X (as seen on Serebii). Though I dislike the fact that they are doing more version specific Megas. For the first time I wondered about choosing Y version over X  Or maybe I'll buy both
PS: Plus, they've been holding with the Fire/Dragon type all this time to make something like that . Gyarados X and Y are next (I'm 99% certain, if not in this Gen then in the next), and a Water/Dragon, Water/Flying types I presume...
