Turns out Espurr is a psychic type with confusion...Who got a crit on Combusken... I am a failure!

I just read what Nuzlocking is because I didn't hear about it before.
Seriously Game Freak, make some difficulty settings for all those "nutcases" 
Game-wise, I'm finally able to Mega-evolve my Pokemon. Don't know how will it impact the overall gaming experience (probably make it even more easier, though I must say, Pokemon Y feels a bit harder then Black 2, probably because of the fact that there are so many new/old Pokemon to choose from), but it certainly is a great new mechanic. Mega-evolved Pokes are a joy to look at, and the "Power-up" feeling is intense. And, it's completely optional so it's your choice if you wanna use it (Nuzlockers, I'm looking at you )
BTW, did I mention how I'm captivated with the games graphics? Especially Pokemon animations, models (all the small details like Greninja making ninja-like poses, or Pokemon closing their eyes when attacked). Now, even the most "ugly" ones are a delight to watch in action. Pokemon like Mawile which I've seen as abberations when I first saw them. Now I must say it's quite cute
After playing the game quite a bit I'm beginning to accept the fact that it's probably the best one in the series (maybe except the first generation, you know nostalgia and s*it). Now if only they make a worthy Elite Four + Pokemon Master and an interesting post-game (it seems that way, you can haunt for Mega Stones after beating the game, throw in a high level dungeon and I'm satisfied).

BTW: What do you guys think about Pokemon X Y music so far (I suppose most of us still didn't hear all of the tracks)? Gym Battle and Team Flare themes are great imo! Oh and Shalour town theme is also quite nice...

Love the evolution theme. And most of the other soundtrack. And I am so glad the annoying "Gonna kill your ears cause you're dying!" sound is minimalized.
I've yet to recieve anything tangible for being such a good tipper, but getting my feet kissed by everyone is nice.

Indeed they are. But I doubt you need a map. There's only one route and a bunch of dead ends. It ain't that hard.

Caught an Espurr finally.  The blank stare is a bit disconcerting, but he's cute regardless.
And, and, I'm so excited, you can weed your Berries in this game!!! I'm tentatively going to say they don't need to be watered as often too, but I'm only on my first batch right now.

"Did that just happen...?" he thought as he stared blankly at the screen. "Did that really just happen?!" He asked, loudly, as he looked down on the Masquerain, grinning wickedly back at him.
"How?!", he thought as his mind searched the libraries of his memories, looking for answers.
"I was sure Masquerain was a Bug/Flying type! It should take 4x super effective damage from an Ice-type move! And then there is the 1.5 STAB with level advantage!" His mind cried out in frustration as the death-cry of his pokemon echoed in his earphones.
Yet, the screen had showed no "It's super effective!" when the Aurora Beam hit the opponents Masquerain.
But it had showed those words, those damning three words, moments later when the opponents Masquerain's bubble attack hit it.
"IT...no, not it: HIM!" He would not dishonor his friends' memory by thinking about HIM as an "it".
Even thought he had not yet chosen a name for his new friend, he loved HIM as if he had known HIM forever.
Even thought they had just met, he had hopes, plans and dreams for HIM as if he had always known they were going to met.
THEY, were going to go all the way! He had thought.
THEY, were going to discover the mysteries of Mega Evolution, beat Team Flare and save Kalos!
THEY were going to be Champions!
But now...NOW, that would never happen. Because HE was dead, and he was still alive.

Congratulations, you just killed your one-of-a-kind Fossil Pokemon!
And I'm owning every-Poke-y like a Boss with my Tyrantrum (which has officially earned a spot in my Top 5 all-time favorite Pokemon list BTW. How cool of a design a Pokemon can get I ask you!)
In other news, I'm afraid I reached the moment when my Pokemon started to overwhelm rival Pokemon. 4th Gym was a letdown, I've blasted through it like a rocket... And I'm not even using Mega Evolutions, nor am I grinding levels. EXP Share might be a reason for this, gotta think if it's better to turn it off. Aside from that, devs should really think about doing sth about this 1-hit weakness KO-ing. Even a lower level Pokemon should at least withstand 2-3 hits imo.
Though I really would like to make my game more difficult, Fire-Emblem'ing my Pokemon is a little too much... Just thinking about loosing my Tyrantrum sends a shiver down my spine...

Well my first nuzlocke(silver) was a no PC(read: Only six pokemon + 2 for day-care), no pokemart(Only use items I find on the ground or get as gifts, including pokeballs).
It was, interesting.
Also, never before have I've been tempted to reset before Amaura died.

ugh stop making me jealous. I will have to play some Soul Silver (i grew bored with White ::shrug:: so sue me) in the meantime, so that i have played every gen at least one.
SPEAKING OF TOP5 POKÉMON
Female. Shiny. Togepi. With Extrasensory.
I love this thing so much, i wish i had room for her on my team, but i don't
I have a worthy replacement for her though: CROBAT (which is another top5 pokémon for me)
I'm planning on making the following my Super Six team
- Typhlosion (Special based Fire attack/Shadow Claw + two others, currently i'm leaning solar beam (bye bye pesky rock, ground and water types) and something else idk what yet)
- Crobat (its moveset will feature bite, fly and u-turn + something else - a poison move presumably, i guess)
- Quagsire
- Slowbro (YES, two watertypes but eh. Whirlpool for Quagsire, Surf for Slowbro and both of their movepools are diverse enough to compensate it. I'm not even sure what i'm giving Slowbro, rly. Its movepool is ENORMOUS)
- Victreebel (finally i get to use one <33333. Moveset will be some combo of Leaf Blade, Spores, Sludge bomb and either Sunny Day or Facade.)
and the final slot is PROBABLY Ampharos or Sneazel or maybe a fighting type such as Primeape. Or i might even use the Togepi, lol, why not.

Seriously considering exchanging my Venipede(or whatever form it'll be at the time) for a Magne(mite/ton/zone) when I'm able to.
I like my Venipede, but...yeah. I'm running into mons that me team has trouble with. Mostly Waters and Flyings that I cannot tackle with Grass' and/or Rocks.

Heard a rumour that tipping increases chance of finding shinies. Dunno if its true, but if it is. HOT DAMNED!
Also, for those of you who complains about lack of difficulty but don't like the idea of nuzlocking:
Just try to play a run where you limit the number of pokémon you can have.
Like say the NO PC run.
You'll have six pokémon on hand and two in day-care.
This means that you have to either plan ahead about what kind of pokémon you want and where you're going to get them, or you can just take whatever comes your way and try your luck.
Now add in blind runs. AKA, "I have no idea what I am facing." which means plans are going right out of the window and you just have to face what comes.
This is what I did in my silver run(as I had never played Silver before and knew not what I faced), and the result was that I had a hard-time all throughout, and in the ended lost to Lance, as I had no real counter towards dragon-types(I had one, but he got one-shotted by Lance).
I can testify to the challenge of such a run, even though it was only part of a nuzlocke challenge, I can still imagine it as pretty though without the death rule(maybe even more difficult, seeing as this means you ONLY get eight pokémon, and have no way of getting rid of one once it is captured).
As for X/Y itself. I have found the game to be challenging so far, having had plenty of times where I go "Ohh snow, what do I do what do I do?!". That flying/fighting bird being a big cause for such "Ohh snow", Sky battles being another(Only got Gale the Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot) and some trainer battles(First battle against Korrina almost ended up in a TPK as my tanks(Quiladin and Snorlax) could not do much of a job. Quiladin had no effective moves against Lucario and Snorlax would've died from the type matching in a straight up fight. And everyone else was too squishy to face the Lucario Bros. in battle.
I was sweating bullets before victory came.
