@SAG: I don't remember any more, so I don't have a good answer to your question. My desktop-pc at that time was AMD-64 based and I am kind of skeptical if this has something to do with that. What do I mean? If you use internals_mc version 2.0 with the executable I have online, then my bet is that you have an Intel processor, or may be an AMD which is single-core. I really haven't abused the language (C++) while writing the code, and yet last time I went back to Greece a friend of mine had a quad-core (or triple-core - I don't remember) AMD processor. So we just downloaded the executable and the .dll file which was responsible for the Posix Threads that are used. Posix Threads is an international standard, so it is not too much to expect this thing to run with almost few changes. Well, it turned out that the program didn't run. You can check it out on a friend of yours who has an AMD (>=2 cores) processors. Unless it requires some twicking which my friend hadn't made. But the problem remains. It was out of the box, and yet my guess is that they had different sequences of commands to perform simple tasks, which ended up not being able to run the program.
Coming back to the TE edition, I no longer have a desktop-pc. Just a mac at home. And for the reasons explained earlier as well as my previous experience with TE, I don't even want to try it. The army-exchange button was enough to make me convert to TE. But as liophy stated, in my case TE was not a Mercedes SL. The other face was more like a Ford Fiesta.

Quote: OK. Thats true. But what if the colours are all snowy - pink, or some nasty paintings. What if the HP are all less than your orriginal, if it doesnt switch to coupe, but to tractor. And it does change into a completely new car, but its not Mercedes SL, but ford fiesta...
Could you give ONE example where you wanted something great (Mercedes SL) to happen in WoG options, but it appeard something bad (Ford Fiesta)?
Quote: I agree with you, that its great to have the options. The important thing is these options to worth something.
This is for each player to be decided on his own. For me for example, most of the TE features are not interesting. But many (of couse not all, but the majority) of the WoG features are really great.
Quote: On TE most of the changes are optional aswell, but they are far more interesting than those in WOG. Actually - all the good stuff from WOG is present in TE.
I don't know about all features of TE, but does TE have:
- Commanders
- additional artefacts
- banners
- possibility to buy upgraded creatures from external dwellings
- many great new visible map objects, where you can gain resources, artefatcs, skills etc...
- adjusted secondary skills (like first aid skill makes your hero able to resurrect creatures during battle)
- new neutral creatures
...
...??
I guess TE is ONLY for online players usefull, while WoG is for single- AND multi players.

TE installation instructions are HERE
The only one file that had broken link is this te.wog file.
So, after you have installed WOG - put te.wog into (where is your homm3 setup?)\UPDATE\ folder and run H3wUpd.exe from main homm3 folder.
