well since I've made a few maps I'm willing to offer my help...
I've also made an hero mod (with pictures of Player at TOH)
down side I'm gonna be away till 3.may tho

wow this is a really cool idea...
i had hoped to create a rpg map as my contribution to hommV, but simply don't have the time/skill in mapmaking; i was thinking of an epic experience whereby characters(both heroes and villains) get to use their ultimate/absolute abilities throughout the game, rather than just getting them at the end(by which time the map is already finished!)
once in every generation there is typically a great villain who arises to torment the land, and a great hero who comes of age to oppose him, but not so in this era, for this is the time of the demi-gods and semi-devils...
the hero: siu fung(played by kragh), a barbarian leader in the northern wasteland who was brought up and enlightened by the civilized kingdom(character will develop uber skills like absolute rage, bloodfire and pendant of mastery) hears about the king's assassination and returns to the central kingdom seeking revenge and justice
the villain: samildanach(played by klaus), formerly the king's right hand man and most trusted general; he passed through a mysterious portal and came back to usurp the power from the king(leads multiple squadrons of champions/paladins/death knights)
other characters: skilgannon(the damned, played by laszlo) wields the cursed swords of night and day(flame sword + moonblade) the best swordsman in the land, he swears his loyalty to the empire, but harbors doubt and resentment towards the current king samildanach
other characters represent the other factions and are extremely powerful(absolute abilities+++!) obviously the demon faction is behind everything(with demonlord khorne(nymus) trying to collect skulls and destroying everything). necro is actually a neutral good faction in here, with mei chiu(deidre) being the guardian of the dead and the great cemetery to the east and half-sister of the phoenix queen(dirael), ruler of the elven lands...
well so much for imagination. if i ever get to work on this project, it would be dedicated to all the great mapmakers out there like fiur, zilo, ogo, and others and the great fantasy novelists out there as well!

I'm sure people love your idea but please keep in mind that it does take skill to get something worth showing in the end, thus not everybody will be able to help no matter how much he'd want to.
But with fiur on board this could be very promising... given he has support. Loading everything on his shoulders would be lame (I'm not suggesting anything!)

So since there are many people, who sucks in mapmaking and not many joined, maybe I should make map myself? (I'm not joking. I really can find some free time.)

Yes, I was thinking about getting missions from HC members, but I completely sucks in scripts. So I need help with that.

Exactly I'd love to help but:
1) I'm not that experienced with the map editor, only know some theories, and don't know how to make 'beautiful' maps.
2) I lack free time these days, and this requires large amounts of work.

I know some scripting and I can give you some tips and such but I can't promise I'll script the whole map since it would probably be a lot of work and as I said I don't have that much free time.

Why do it alone when you have the biggest blessing mapmakers can get in this thread saying he'll help you out...?
Dude maybe you should take a look at what fiur was created before you dismiss his help just like that. He's one of the shineing stars on the mapmaker heaven oO.

Well, I don't dismiss fiur's help. He said that he's gonna be away till the start of May. When he come back, he can help.
And actually you haven't seen mine mapmaker skills, cuz I never published any of my maps.

That may be so but I doubt they're compareable, pardon me. If you're good that's great but still I don't see why one would dismiss great help if one can get it.
