Heroes 3 Miniatures - Would there be a fanbase?

Hi there. My name is Kyte, and I work for a Model Company called Troll Forged Miniatures.

You can see my work on this page under the Fantasy --> Fishman Section:
www.trollsforge.com

The Fishman Project, however, will if everything goes as estimated, be finished in about half a year, and as I thought of what line to do next, I thought of something.

Heroes of Might and Magic 2 and 3 was what got me into miniatures in the first place! I remember reading a White Dwarf magazine when I was six years old, and I wasa amazed to see what I at that time saw as Heroes toys were actually real. Here, 12 years later, I'm really considering making some proper Heroes miniatures. The idea would be a miniature wargame based on the battles of the game, but I'm thinking much like a combination of chess and warhammer or something.

Also, you'd need only a few models to play, as I'm thinking about making 2 layered bases that could be turned to show how many monsters each stack contained, so you'll end up with a proper heroes army with like up to 8 stacks and a couple of warmachines rather than huge armies of 100+ models

Would you people even be interested in buying such models, and do you have any specific ideas?

Since 3DO AFAIK went bankrupt, I'm convinced there shouldn't be any legal issues. Please tell me if this is true.

Thanks

- Kyte

But all the games that were made by 3DO are now owned by Ubisoft, since they own the franchise.

Great idea Kyte That will be legal if you make creatures from HoMM 1-4 if you make from 5 that will be not legal. That figures will be in polish shops?

You really might want to get a better source of confirmation than someone of this forum unless he's knowledgeable.
Anyways the project sounds interesting but I myself wouldn't see myself buying that as I'm content with the game^^. But I'm sure you'll find people.
