Cubone saw the long grass and started squirming so Jeremy put her down.
"What's wrong?" he asked confused.
(Nothing! Come on, let's go walk through the long grass!)
Jeremy still looked puzzled. "How come we don't just walk in the short grass? We won't run into anything there."
(Exactly!) Cubone said adamantly.
"Huh???"
Cubone had a forehead-smacking moment.
(We--and by we I mean you--need a bigger team: if we run into things we can find someone to help me keep you out of trouble, and maybe make some more friends while we're at it.)
"Make friends?" Jeremy asked hopefully. He'd gotten picked on rather a lot back home; the concept of more friends was appealing. Then the rest of what she'd said penetrated and Jeremy protested. "I do not get into trouble!"
(And what did you call that on top of the tower?)
"A good story?"
Cubone sighed. (Come on...)

Steve walks on through the city, after gaining the information he had requested. To the northern left corner he went. He didn't expect much, but what he saw was very admirable.
"They are expecting you, please go right on to the house."
He didn't even notice the guard, until he said that.
"Oh. Thanks."
Steve gazes at the fountains as he walks the path to the house. He eventually sees the little girl coming at him smiling, with her arms open. He knelt down, returning the hug he received. He was happy to see she was alright.
He looks up, at the doorway after the girl calls out to the others. He sees them standing there. All but one he recognized. H stood back up from the hug, and walked to those at the door.
"Please come in, you are always welcome here."
"Thank you."
Steve walks in, taking a quick look around, then he remembers something.
"Oh! I got so busy with finding this girl here, I didn't bring the others with me! I'm not sure where they are now, or how to contact them either."

Jeremy
It does not take long before Jeremy spots his first potential addition to the team. Gazing on some of the tall grass is a Ponyta. Slightly bigger then the average Ponyta, it has a regal air about it. Obviously still young, it must have just recently left it's parents to forge it's own path.
At first you don't think it notices you. As you near it, it becomes obvious it has been aware of you the whole time. It lifts it's head and looks directly at you. It gives a whiny and stomps its feet as if to say "Well, what are you waiting for?" it's obviously a challenge.

"No matter, I am sure I will see them soon enough." As Steve is led through the house, he can not help to be aware of the sheer size and beauty of it. As soon as everybody is comfortable, the matriarch of the group gets to the point. "I hope I am not too abrupt with this, but I need you and your brave groups help. A few nights ago somebody broke into our estate and made off with some jewelry and two of my pokemon. I am not concerned with the jewelry, but the two were dear friends and I would like them returned."
It is apparent that the theft affected her, but she appears most angry about the missing pokemon. "Despite the fact that I know exactly who did it, and where to find them, the local police can not do a thing without proof. I hate thinking what they are doing to the poor creatures. I will pay, and pay well, if you can retrieve the darlings for me. They must be so scared."
The man comforts his mother and says "They may not be the strongest, but Ester and Easter are tough. I am sure they are making the lives of whoever took them miserable." something tells you that he knows first hand how miserable these creatures can make life. Despite that, there is a fondness in his voice when he speaks of them.
"Please, I have nowhere else to turn. I hate asking, but since eveybody has said you rescued the town, I was hoping you would be brave enough to help."

Aduro ducked behind Jeremy's head at the sight of the other Fire type, hiding; Cubone looked from bird to trainer to horse Pokemon and back to trainer before demanding:
(Send me out!)
"You are out," Jeremy observed, puzzled.
(But you're supposed to say it.)
"Oh, okay," Jeremy said. Tentatively he added, "Go out!--did I do that right?"
(Close enough,) Cubone trotted out to face Ponyta and swung her club up into a battle-ready position. The Ponyta stiffened, getting ready to attack. There was a long pause.
(You're supposed to call for an attack Jeremy.)
"Oh! Um...what would be a good attack?"
Cubone reflected that she really shouldn't be helping him out so much, but wasn't feeling patient enough for him to figure these things out on his own. And he was trying, after all. She gave the Ponyta a measuring glance; the other Pokemon didn't look terribly durable, probably couldn't take a full out attack from Cubone's primary weapon, and add to that the little knowledge she had about Pokeballs...
(Headbutt. Headbutt would be a good attack.)
"Okay, Headbutt!"

The Ponyta went sprawling under the force of Cubone’s attack, and barely managed to struggle to her feet afterwards.
(You’re not very durable are you?) Cubone asked rhetorically. The Ponyta snorted furiously, her noble sensibilities shrieking, but she was still plainly battered.
(Jeremy! Throw a Pokeball!)
“Oh! Oh…” Jeremy dug frantically through his backpack for a spare ball, hands shaking from nerves. Aduro peeked nervously back at the Ponyta as Jeremy made to throw it.
(Not like that! You need to expand it first!)
“Um…” Jeremy fiddled with the ball for a few heart-pounding seconds; this was almost as nerve-wracking as the battle on the tower; at least then he’d had Harriet to hold on to for support, but he couldn’t hold her and the Pokeball at the same time. At last the ball expanded to normal size under his shaking fingers.
(Good! Now throw it!)
Jeremy threw.

The Pokeball Archs toward the pokemon, hitting it and a flash of light envelops the Ponyta. When the light clears the pokemon is on the ground .. shaking..and the Ponyta is nowhere to be seen. The Pokeball shakes vigorously once, twice..
Three times..then a faint DING is heard and the pokeball is still. ((Roll 26 (Up to 73 would catch) an easy catch)).
((Congradulations, you now have a Shiny Ponyta!))

The old geezer grabs the young gentleman and starts running in 1 random direction while dragging him along. He then stops and says embarrassed: "Ehm, sorry... What direction is the house again? We need to get there i guess, and i am still in good enough shape to run for it.".

The attacks effect was flying into the air, pretty electric waves and pokemon literally flying towards their targets. What a mess, the flashing sparks made her dizzy, quite dizzy. She would however still be able to stand on her feet so long the battle raged, hopefully.
"Max get Houndour to use Ember on that Pikachu! Amber get Growlithe to use roar! Mintz use Poison Sting on that Voltorb!"!

Thor is pointed in the right direction, it is not long before the two arrive at the house. A rather intimidating Arcanine, and a Luxio guard the gate. At first it looks like they are statues, they are standing so still, until it is noticed that they are watching Thor. They don't so much as twitch, however, recognizing their trainer, who is with Thor.

It is super effective. (Light is weak to physical attacks  )

Growlithe uses Ember on Manemite. (Roll 3) Critical hit.
Not even gonna bother rolling damage. Supereffective + Crit hit = KO. Magnemite Faints. ((Minimum damage was 40 max was 48))
Two on two now. ((Will go ahead and let you decide Ambers and Max's moves however)).

As you approach the girl goes deeper into the side street. Soon you find yourself in a dead end, no sign of the girl. However, there is a very strong stench that is not just the normal smell of an alley. You notice what looks like a sewer grate, and something behind it. Whatever is making that horrid smell is behind that grate.

Steve thought about the situation presented to him. Stolen items, and they're something the police wouldn't check into without proof. That, right there, worried him a little. Would they get into trouble for doing this task? A few days as a trainer, then thrown into prison. That wouldn't be a very desirable outcome of events.
Perhaps the evidence would do? Then the police could handle it. Though, how would the evidence even be obtained? Steve was sure the police checked the scene thoroughly, finding nothing. That would leave investigating the location of the people this lady tells of. Break in to get that evidence. Another possible outcome of some jail time. Things were not going out so well in his thoughts. He decided he may as well ask an initial question, however.
"Well, who is it that stole the pokemon and jewelry then?"

"A scientist by the name Melvin Max. He lives in a old lighthouse about two miles out of town. Unfortunately he is some relation to the Mayor of our city. The local police won't do anything without very strong proof." She brings out some papers, and then warns you. "I have some connections of my own, and if you get in trouble I can get you out of it. If it is a matter of money, I can pay quite a bit. I will warn you, that he has a very strong and dangerous pokemon that listens to him, however. Everybody is afraid of it.."

A relative of the mayor!? And this woman could handle taking care of the penalties brought about by dealing with this sort of thing? Steve wasn't so sure about this. Not if the mayor and the Melvin Max man were close. Though, maybe she did have some very strong ties with people in power. He would have to check with the others, and ask of their opinions. There was no way he could handle this Mr Max alone, if he is as powerful as this woman says he is.
"Okay. I'll have to check with the others on this first, and then we'll see how things go. May I ask who you are though?"

The woman smiles "Of course you may have time. As for my name, it is Ellenor Minsfield."
A memory surfaces from something Steve learned in school. Somebody named Minsfield, a very young girl, had been on her way to being the most famous pokemon trainer ever. Never lost a match, and everybody expected her to beat the elite four. Then..she just dropped out of site. That was years ago, if this was the same Minsfield, she probably has the connections she claims.
Rumor has it she dropped out of sight to join something like an anti-team rocket/team galactic squad that went defunct after some kid beat the two teams instead. She would still have some contacts, but that leaves a question. Why not use them instead?

Cubone twirled her club victoriously before replying, her tone cheerful. (Yes it is.) She scooped up the Pokeball and waddled back to Jeremy, holding it up for him. He took it from her and put it away, still looking puzzled.
“But it shook first.”
(It’s supposed to shake first.) She made the ‘up’ motion so Jeremy would carry her.
“But yours didn’t.”
(I didn’t want it to.)
“Oh,” Jeremy said, picking her up at last. “Should we go back to the Pokemon Center now?”
(We can do that, sure.)
Jeremy began slogging back through the long grass to the Pokemon Center.

Lying behind the grate you see the body of a young girl, apparently dead for some time. She is clutching in her hands. The flood must of dislodged her from wherever she HAD been. You can't help but suspect foul play, and it is obvious the 'person' following you had been the spirit of this young girl. Maybe, besides her body, she wanted you to find something.

"Very astute." Minsfield nods in approval. "The reason I am asking for your help, instead of handling it myself or calling in some of my contacts, is because I do not want publicity. I would rather keep my name out of it, I am hoping that you and your group can handle it quietly. Although I will step in if you get in trouble, I am sincerely hoping I do not have to. The gentleman in question would not want the police involved either, for although he is related to the mayor he might have a hard time explaining the two pokemon."
She is interupted by the girl. "Grammy doesn't want people to know she was famous at one time. Said we might have some bad people show up, and she doesn't wanna have to move."
"Unfortunately she is right. My old contacts would be a red flag for some rather unsavory people. Please tell me you and your group will think about it? No pressure, however. Although I need a decision by the end of tomorrow, if you decide not to help I will handle it the more direct way. We would have to move, but it would be a small price to pay to get those two pokemon back." Continues Minsfield.
