Hehe  I started shaving at 16 myself, did not have any facial hair before that. Nowadays I shave about once per week as they do not grow fast. In the army I knew a guy who had to shave 2-3 times a day! That must have been a pain.

My friend started shaving when in the 5th Grade, so that is 13 year old lol. I have to shave about every other day now, I am sure it is the karma of making fun of him back then.

It's easy to avoid shaving. Just grow a beard! You just need to give the baby some love by running a trimmer over it once a week (if that) and you're good to go. I also razor my cheeks & neck once a week to keep it clean looking but I guess that's optional. Beards are the future. Beards are zerg!
2-3 daily army guy sounds like he has an obsessive compulsive habit over it. I had a friend who would get a shadow on his face by noon, but seriously, just let it go. Put the razor down and step away from the sink.

You see, this is why shaving habits are dangerous. It's all subjective to what we're accustomed to, so the more OCD people become with shaving, the more women will expect a certain image, the more men will be expected to shave. It's an endless loop leading down a road of ruin and despair. Beards are the only hope.
