my dumbfoundedness aside, if you haven't partaken of any drugs in amsterdam, you need to(skip the street drugs, though. you don't need those). i would wait until spring, before taking any. when all the plants and tree leaves are a nice bright green and it's misty outside and not cold, eat some psilocybin mushrooms and take a walk. preferably in a wooded park, with a friend. trust me. 
my friend, you need to expand your mind. you're missing another world. a good world.

I have been working for 4 years in Amsterdam and I have never been offered to buy a drug. I know there is plenty of this drugs scum around. I used to use internet on Amsterdam Central Station (of railroads) being there for an hour or longer every time. Some people came and asked for help but not offered me drugs...I found weed many times when I cleaned hotel rooms. I always gave them to other people...haah it was me who offered it but for free..one year ago there was some warnings displayed that some people died or been hospitalized because dealers sold heroine as cocaine... drugs decay your mind and nerve system...no need to fall under car or tramp after having them...I generate a good world close around me... I don't need drugs... family, good food, beer, computer games, internet and beach are enough..
better try some fitness

hard drugs are bad for you, that much is true. but psilocybin taken in moderation(you'd never have to take hallucinogens frequently, anyway) will work wonders on your brain, and help you get in deep touch with nature. you feel much more connected to the natural world; during, and afterward.
but it's up to you. just keep in mind, that the thing you demonize could be one of the best things you've never had. mushrooms reveal a whole other world: there's a reason why they're considered sacred. i've tried a good deal of drugs; psilocybin is the only one i would recommend to anyone. except dumbasses and snows, maybe.
