Why not show myself for once? I might just scare one or two of you out there. 
Sorry, but I don't have any swimsuit or underwear pics, and if I did, I wouldn't post them on here anyways. Those are only for my loves eyes. (and I don't plan on degrading myself anyday soon)
Excuse the fancy photoshop work. Lets just say my friends have fetishes.

Oh come ON ! French saying quicly translated here : "Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean others can't" !   Seriously though, if ppl in their underwear and / or bathing suits were really "degrading themselves", wouldn't there be a rule against it in Val's otherwise rather strict CoC ? I understand there's a debate still ongoing about this. I understand some ppl had either a sufficiently heavy religious education or a sufficiently harsh trauma at some point in their life to actually see the human body itself as "degrading". But please understand this isn't a fact. But it IS a fact that people wearing "black and white glasses" will doubtless fail to understand "colorful people".  
I'm not pointing the finger on you for it, but really this one line hurt my feelings and perception of respect and freedom. Given the previous discussions that took place in this here thread some pages ago, I felt it gave credit to the overtly puritan point of view previously expressed by some. And since it was just this one line drowned in the mass of your otherwise nice post... Well, I interpreted it as if the equation "underwears/swimsuits = degrading" was taken for granted. Now, of course if it was simply a joke I failed to understand, please excuse my french, Ruby. 
That aside, nice pics. Thx for sharing them with (the whole spectrum of) this community. I'm still a bit shy in the "showing myself in public" department, myself. And I have great respect for those less shy.

Now...gothic looks. That sorta...shatters my day. 
I do not try to look gothic, nor am I gothic. I am me, simple as that. I have an odd sense of style, I won't deny, but I am far from gothic.
You know what gothic is? It's a font. In WORD.
Hun. We obviously have different definitions of "degrading." I feel that teenage girls shouldn't be putting pictures of themselves in their underwear, only to show off and please men that could be 40 and up. I think it's idiotic. Go ahead, and e-mail and message as many pics as you want..but...why post them here? I don't see how showing off ones body to complete strangers is an accomplishment?
But it's the woman's choice. It was only a little remark, not pointing fingers of course.
The picture that is my icon...is from three years ago. I don't think it even begins to tell the world what I look like.
Nice to meet you too! I am not exactly new here, (I haven't been on this for two years so...) but it is nice to meet you. I look forward to debating with you further.

Sorry for that, but in all honesty, even if it wasn't your goal, the black n white pic with the blade, the long dark boots, the dark leather outfit and the web-of-Spiderman style hose on your arms really looks gothic. Now this full color pic in your second post tells a lot more about yourself, it seems. I think it's rather cool. And hey ! You play a folk guitar just like me. Quote:

Ruby, if your not following a crowd and you dress the way you do because you like it, then your fine. I only have issues with those who follow crowds.

Gunblade? Yes I am a proud buyer of a gunblade. I buy and collect Final Fantasy cosplay wear, mostly clothes but swords aswell.

What kinds of clothes do you have, like certain characters full outfits? If so, would you be willing to dress as one and post pic? Preferably Rinoa, so Iris gets jelous.
Edit: Heres a fairly recent one. The remains of a very long weekend. Anyone else toast to this?

I haven't even found one yet that would be even close to it. I don't make them myself so I depend on my friend who lives in Hong Kong. She loves making this stuff.

I am not sure, but I do have a few more that I never wear. I do this for private cosplaying of course. It costs a lot to buy stuff like this.
I have pictures, but I would have to find them and scan them in. (They weren't digital because my friends would photoshop them to death).
But tell me which outfit you would like to see and I will see if I can scan it in.

Definantly Squally. Try for Seifer too. But go for anyone that is a full outfit, and you can do the hair too

Sounds excellent. I have had friends who styled my hair into Squall's. It was delicious.
