Reading Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now I was rather shocked to see how much his definition of pain-body fit my previous description, that of apathy setting in. A disturbing thought. But also relieving in that the way I did dispel that miserable state was just.. acknowledging the present and living in it rather than judging it.
This is a book I totally recommend by the way, it can broaden your horizons on a number of things. The guy takes it straight to the source and gives you much to reflect on. Many of the things he says may be hard to wrap your mind around but it is worth a shot, my own experiences tell me he is right on many accounts. Also he does a good job at keeping it simple rather that bore you out of your mind with theories, he is as practical as it gets.
