Racing Games
Racing Games has been there from arround the birth of games ;p
We all know them, we all whant them (I haven't met anyone hwo didn't lika a game based on first to goal with anything with wheels)
Need for Speed which i believe every one knows what is ;p
It's fun, and it's pretty good.
They should have stopped at Most Whanted! From carbon and up sucks!
Some of us know the Midnight Club series, which is kind of fun, but compared to games like need for speed and motorstorm, this sucks..
And as you may have figured out, my next game to mention is Motorstorm!
Motorstorm is the reason that i created this thread to talk about racing games ;p
Motorstorm is beatufull made, it is a hell lot of fun in one game (Actually two, Motorstorm Pacific rift exists, but that's not as good as number one)...
So what do you think of racing games?

I don't like 'em.
And now you've met your first person who don't "lika a game based on first to goal with anything with wheels" ^^
I see them as amongst the most pointless sort of games (ok, most games are pointless but these take the price....tied with FPS's) And I don't like neither cars, motorcycles etc. etc.
This is of course my point of view and everyone else can play those games however much they want.

The only racing games I like are the one like Mariokart, that aren't very realistic, and has lots of different powerups.

Ignition was a good one.
It could use a fanmade mod, for system compatibility and better resolution. I'd love to play it, but it tends to crash under Windows XP.

Al Unsser JR was one of my favorite nintendo games for quite some time.
I liked cruisin the world and USA also for nintendo 64
mario kart was okay too
I had the racing game that came with sega saturn which was alright too.
Some of these new ones which I have not played much can be cool..
I had a game called hard drivin for the genesis which was one, only one track that was relatively small but there were for the time a lot of cool crash styles. Crash into animals, try to crash through the barn, there was a giant road loop I would try to drive off of at the highest point. Each crash was followed by a zoomed out camera view with some epic music lol..
I would buy that game again, for 2 dollars.

I remember there where a lot of racing in GTA Vice City ;p That was fun hehe.. Racing against hillary in at the Malibu Club ;p Great game

I love racing games. Burnout: Revenge, NFS, Carmageddon, Interstate 76, GTA series, Wacky Wheels (fun old DOS game) and more. I like some of the newer ones these days like the Burnout series, some of the NFS games and GRID if any of you have heard it.

I'm not a fan of racing games. but sometimes I play them with friends. overall, I mostly play FPS

William # I know grid! It's quite good ;p I usually love games Codemasters have a part of..
And Burnout is one of the tops! Great fun..
Lord_Woock # No, but the games do include some racing, and cars.
I only refered to GTA VC because that is the GTA game with most races in..

Yes, I agree. in fact, the only thing I really like about Mariokart 64 are the battles, but Mariokart Wii is awesome ;D

Fauch: I've played a few FPS's, mostly tried them for 15min-1h (that was extreme) but I've never found the appeal in it.....
Ok, I admit that one FPS is moderately fun and that's Timesplitters, but only playing with a friend.

Rock'n'roll racing. One of the first racing(and overall) games I played.
Collin McRae's Rally 2004 and DiRT were fun.
NFSU2 and Most Wanted were good too.
Carbon was good only due to the Autosculpt(I downloaded a 100% finished save  ), which was the only reason it lived in my hard drive.
I'm surprised no one mentioned Live For Speed. The best simulator ever IMHO. Also it works great with Logitech G25.

I only like racing games where I can inflict pain and humiliation on others, like Burnout.
I tend to like games from most genres actually. Let's see... *turns around and looks at gaming shelf*
Action, RPGs, FPS, Racing, Fighting, Strategy...
Oh right, sports games... I don't like sports games, like football and hockey...

Try Mashed, Adrius. A good remake of Rock'n'Roll racing. Though it'll take time to get used to the camera angles.

Heh, that game actually looks cool. Reminds me a bit of Ignition.

1NSANE was a pretty good one too. It had nice graphics and cool cars.
The Destruction games were awesome, especially when played with trucks.
It also had a superb career mode, with the last race taking place on the Moon. Needless to say most cars sucked there... excepting the Alien Machine.
