Why? She is right because even primitive people used rhythm (hitting stones etc). Some music is older than speech. However, if only lyrics is music to you, then of course it's impossible.

If I did, what would make you still not say that it doesn't?
Of course, it's just feelings (what this is all about). I didn't say you'll know for 100% what happens, like in any book/story/poem (you will have to use your imagination which is different for people). But you can obviously differentiate let's say, action music, sad music, death music, "hopeless" music, happy music, the "calm before the storm" music, etc etc. (ok, those were bad terms but you get what I mean, cause feelings are hard to describe)

"Aftermath" music: Underworld Evolution: The Future
Another "Aftermath" music: Rambo 4: Battle Adagio
"Preparation" or "Revenge" music: Outlander: Setting the Trap
"Peaceful" music: The Last Samurai: A Way of Life
"Thematic Aftermath" music: Armageddon: Theme
Here's what I didn't watch, so you *could* verify me a bit (if the feelings match with the movie):
"Theme" music (probably military-type): Crimson Tide: Roll Tide
Another different "Theme" music: Kingdom of the Winds
"Calm before the Storm" music: Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift: Preparation
"Very Sad Sacrifice" music: Twins Effect: The Glorious Death
"Loss" music (probably death also, not sure): Lion King: This Land (I don't watch Disney, but Hans Zimmer is good).
What sense/emotion do these give you: (just for an example, if you want I can answer what they give me  )
Sea Without Exit: Testament (didn't watch it)
Kingdom of the Winds: A Year (didn't watch it)
Wind Chill: Theme (watched it)
300: To Victory (watched it)
Rabbit-Proof Fence: Running to the Rain (didn't watch it)
ok I'm sorry for going overboard but it's hard to choose, and this is a tiny percent and I wish I could have given more of them if you don't like the above (so you can see the diversity). 
I didn't post epic music, or action music either, cause they are more complex.

You put so many links that i cant even check them all.
Would be cool if you put them in a zip,rar or 7z file.

Well I had around 50% of them uploaded already here, and if you are talking about uploading everything in such an archive, it would take a lot (8+ GB or so) and not all of them are that good (of course I tried to pick good ones ).
The only problem is that my upload speed sucks.

I downloaded nearly the half of it.
To be honest,the best one is:A way of life.
I cant describe in words how beautiful it is.
The rest is good but not on the same class as this one.
btw,i meant all of the music you posted here.Would be good to have them all in a rar archive.

Yeah I like that one too. When I said 50% was already uploaded I meant from these ones of course -- I only uploaded a few of these now. My upload speed is kinda sucky.
Since you already downloaded half, I assume a .rar won't help that much now (compared to upload times), but I'll keep it in mind for later.

No, it was just the way that it was worded made it look/sound funny, I dno. Just made me lol
Oh and I never said anything about preferring songs with lyrics or anything. I listen to lots of music that doesn't have lyrics, I was just questioning your statement that soundtrack music is well suited to standing on its own.
