Cataclysm
Blizzard recently trademarked "Cataclysm". And now there is heavy speculation going on what Cataclysm is.
Next WoW expansion: WotLk was trademarked in the same way a few weeks before announchment. The next expansion will be announched in August on BlizzCon. The name would then point at the Seas of Azeroth. The Caraclysm is also a name for the Sundering. In the Warcraft lore, the Sundering was an apocalyptic event which created a the massive Great Sea. Fans speculate that Empress Azshara seeks to recreate the Sundering to free the Old Gods.
New Game engine: Blizzard could develop a new game engine called Cataclysm. It would be used for their unannounched MMO and/or RTS.
Battle.Net 2.0: Could be the name of the new Battle.Net
Unannounched MMO: Could be the name of the unannounched MMO. The MMO is speculated to be a MMOFPS is supposed to be set in a new universe.
Unannounched RTS: Some people think the new RTS is Warcraft 4 while others think its related to Blizzards new franchise. Could be the name of the RTS.
What do you think the mysterious Cataclysm is?
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm of the Maelstrom
Cataclysm Gaming Engine
Battle Net: Cataclysm
Cataclysm: World at War
Universe of Starcraft: Cataclysm
Warcraft 4: Cataclysm
Cataclysm: Armies at War

The only thing worse than a game developer that can get the job done when, it comes to delivering better entertainment on today's PCs, PSS and LAN Servers is: No Applications to use the engine other than the game maker's own games.
Man! This is so, frustrating! Even the hardware makers do not provide better drivers for their own products, past one year of use.
These developers ought to be kicked in the arse. Please note, that the previous versions of Warcraft had, at least, one expansion coming out every 6 months up to 1 single year in between them.
Now, it took, a whole year for a mere expansion pack to make(WotLK). Where is another expansion and, where is this totally hip new game, Starcraft: Ghost?
As I see it coming, so far, Starcraft II will be completed in full by late August-September of this year:2009. I am currently using the beta of Starcraft II and, will not expire until June 3rd-2010 but, as I know myself, I will get the retail version of the official version some time this Fall of this, same, year-2009.
So, if, Blizzard, wants to make a fortune out of their newest instalment of the Warcraft franchise, Warcraft 4 will have to be delivered onto the selling shelves no later than late spring of 2010. Since, they, seem to be veering toward online technology type of gaming, Warcraft 4 for single-player is in jeopardy.
The promotion of very good graphic based RTS games will have to be on the table. And, the current fanatics of Warcraft games, will, have to move on towards, the universal reality of beyond 3D graphical implementation(Direct X 10.1+). It is time to bid farewell to the cartoony graphics of DX9.x and embrace DX10.x.
DX10.x has been implemented within Win. Vista in 2006(3 years ago)and, now, Win 7 will not allow it to be fully functional onto its own platform(DX9.x). DX10.x is, the new today of graphics creation, period.
Please, note: Blizzard will launch a new universal game seires by Spring or Fall of 2011. It will not be called Warcraft, Starcraft, or Diablo anymore. Just like Apple's Leopard O.S., it will have, strictly a name.
Have a beautiful day and, week everybody.

Enjoyable trolling
DX9 --> DX10, yay more libs!
DX10 ---> DX11 = more optimized and slimmed down, and a tiny bit more libs.
Basically, the real deal is around openGL. Since its expandable, where D3D is not(think bad shaders).
The real good grapic would come by embracing openGL and attempt proper artistic grapics.
Edit: And can some moderator purge the bot already?

This is serious business!
Blizzard has recently hinted that we wont get a new hero class in the next expansion, but two new races.
Blizzard has recently say that the new race will tie in to Azeroth and not be an alien race like the Draenei. It will be a "pre-seeded" race.
The most pre-seeded race in WoW by far is Goblins. Goblins are a very likely Horde race for the Great Sea expansion.
There are already many Goblins working for the Horde and they were officialy with the Horde in Warcraft 2/the Second War.
Blizzard has also hinted at a Worgen and Drakonid race. The Drakonid seems possible due to the fact that they could tie in to the Deathwing and Twilight Dragonflight plot.
The Worgen comes from a different dimenson, but many fans speculate that some Worgen has settled on Azeroth, behind the closed gates of Gilneas.
If the Great Sea is the next expansion then we can expect a Goblin race for the Horde and a Drakonid race for the Alliance.
Worgen are described as comming from another dimension, which sounds to me like the Emerald Dream.
If the next expansion is the Emerald Dream then the Alliance is likely to get the Furbolg (who already are a Alliance race in the lore) and the Horde worgen.

No, I have "vacation" from school untill August 15-18 (right when BlizzCon is damn).
I have screwed up my day/night cycle >.> Its hard to restore it.
Anyway, since WoW was released up to 5 expansions have been planned.
We still have the Seas, the Emerald Dream, the Elemental Plane and the Twisting Nether left.
Actually, that becomes 6 expansion with TBC and WotLK. But many people think they will combine the Elemental Plane with the Emerald Dream.
