Campaign - Azure dragons - I can't get the ring!! Please HELP
Hi! I have done everything on the last Dragon slayer campaign: Azure dragons but I am missing the ring 'Still eye of the dragon' which I need to get quest gate opened up. So I can slaughter the azure dragons. But I don't get it?? Why I can't pick it up????? I spend two weeks traveling and trying to get it but I have no clue anymore?? I know where it is, but I get only this text. See picture below. What I am supposed to do???

Does true leader mean you need to have Leadership?
I'm thinking no, because that would be really unfair if you passed on it, but it might be a possibility.

It is a game bug. I recommend updating your game to the latest version or try a few Quit game / Load game. Leadership is not required for this artifact.

Ok I try putting on a patch. I have Erathia and AB installed from orig. CDs. I have haven't added anything on them. I have 1.0 version. Is it enough to only run the AB patch?
Dunno if it will work... if it doesn't work is there some sort of a cheat code that can create that ring to my inventory?

I ran both of the patches. I tried loading few times the game, trying to get the ring. But i can't. My level is 32. Should I have higher level? Or what. This sucks. I am pissed off. Was bad idea to install again buggy game like this!!!

I don't remember ever having this problem, but I do know that your lvl, skills, etc don't have anything to do with it. I don't think any of the cheat codes will help you either since you can only win the campaign with some of them afaik.
I'm going to read the walkthru on this campaign which isn't too bad and see if anything can help.

This message (need to have leadership) was one of 2 different requirements (the other was wisdom skill) of the earlier versions of Erathia (up to version 1.1) and Armageddon's Blade (2.0).
Armageddon's Blade is an own game (own exe file), so an update of your erathia won't help anything.
Check your Arma version. You need to have version 2.2, that's the latest one.

He knows where the ring is, but he can't pick it up because his hero doesn't have leadership....

Well, I guess this is your lucky day. Check my thread and add the artefact to your hero. It works with all SoD, complete, WoG. I don't know about AB but the offsets are the same, so it should work.

Players abandon too fast nowadays. 
Seriously, I think the SoD campaigns are amazing. Perfect. I wish HoMM5 would have same quality, I played its campaigns and it was as ramping through a swamp.

I don't know if I have tried SoD... thought I had it but didn't find CD.
Well, I patched the game. I now have AB 2.2 version. It didn't help me in getting the ring. I have collected 95% of the stats boosters throughout the campaign. So if I shouldn't by missing on them. Leadership skip gave you either luck or morale boost. I have tried picking the ring with three on both of them. No avail. And leadership skill being a requirement would be extremely unlikely as many wouldn't be able pick it up... (I guess I could try making a new hero and trying get him that skill... but I doubt that would do anything.) Only thing I thought could be too low was my level as on the last map I have routinely picked up gold over experience when given choice. But even if it would be that I think that it would say level requirement like on the earlier map. So I am kind of leaning on side that it might be some bug or possibly extremely badly designed map.

Patching the game will not change a non patched save. You must restart. But you can also add the ring to your hero in 5 seconds, using the link I gave you.

If you believe it or not, the SKILL Leadership IS THE SOLUTION to your problem!
As said already, the earlier version of Homm3 had this kind of "quest" on some artefacts (randomly). You either could collect the artie for free, you could have to fight against a guard (not visible on the map itself), or you had to have either leadership or wisdom as secondary skill.
And as Salamandre already stated, you have to replay that scenario after you have patched the game.

OMG I decided to try it the last time! I bought heroes from the town so long until one of them had leadership skill as default... I got it to expert level and walked to the ring and got it! Btw, azures were wussies. Thanks. I completed the hardest campaign? Atleast I saw someones saying so.

The hardest?..lol...the easiest.. The campaigns of Armageddon's Blade aren't a real challenge, at least due to the fact you can't setup the difficulty.
The hard ones are the campaigns of the "Shadow of Death" addon.

Is the SoD one who starts with Gelu on a small map? I remember getting dimension door in that one, so the last scenarios were a piece of cake.
They forgot to disable it.
