Replacing the HoMM3 Complete - Main Menu Screen
Is this easy to do?, I like the background of "The Restoration of Eurathia" with the Archangel.

That doesn't answer my question - how do you change the background image?. What file contains the games images?. How do I unpack & repack the file?.

There are two versions of ResEdit, what's the difference between Unicode & ANSI?. I'm using Windows XP Professional.

Nevermind, I found the tools I need, to be able to mod HoMM3.
http://modhomm3.free.fr/
I extracted the 'MAINMENU.PCX' file from the 'H3bitmap.lod' file, with 'ModHoMM3'. All PCX files that I extract are blank for some reason, they won't open either, I have IrfanView which supports PCX view. I can view 'Civilization 3' files fine. Has this happened to anyone else using 'ModHoMM3'?.

That's exactly what I needed, thanks Solitaire345.
Could someone provide me with the 'GAMESEKBK.bmp' & 'MUMAP.bmp' files from the demo, or The Restoration of Erathia. That way I don't have to install it, send me a private message & I'll give you my email address. Thanks.
Edit: Bump, any Modders willing to help?.

A simple question about ResEdit2 - Will I need to extract the entire file contents, in order to repack the file?.
