Underdogs (ooc)
Everybody wants to be the big, bad nasty on the block. What about the little guys though? Might they not get tired of being kicked around, and decide to finally organize and fight back?
Here is their chance. The only races allowed are Goblins, Kobolds, and Orcs. Not the 'super mega powerful' versions either. They start out ordinary/average versions of the races. They do get to choose a 'class' however. Allowed classes will only start out the following. Theif, Druid (shaman to be exact), Monk, Warrior, or Cleric. It is freeform, and I will be 'playing' to, no specific rules. Just keep in mind that these are the 'underdogs'(IE not UBER POWERFUL Walking killing machines!) IF there is an 'underdog' race you want to play, hcm me for consideration.
This is inspired by the webcomic Goblins. While eventually the characters will become very strong, for awhile their life will be a bit hard.

Weight : unknown

Cool  . Three is enough to start. The world, creatures, etc are freeform so you can start any time. If anybody needs help/suggestions let me know, however.

What's the average height/weight/normal coloration etc. for an average kobold, and are there any specific naming conventions? Will I be safe if I just snoop around d20srd.org?

That's where I get the height and weight of my kobold. Wasn't sure about what I wanted as far as coloration goes, but I think I've decided now. Still need to come up with a name though.

well, i dont like goblins much and im not the orc kind of guy, and you never really get to be kobold in other RPs.

You can have the skill 'miner' if you wish. Yeah not many people are brave enough to play the underdog in an rpg.

Need input for class.
I was going to go Thief, but since lucky dwarf wants to be one I thought about Warrior, so we aren't doubling up too much. Then I started wondering if there was a deity of traps or trickery, tomb-warding or some-such because if there is, Cleric could be fun.
Advice? Mostly I just want to play with traps.

Well there is a diety of theives. My suggestion is either dual class (cleric theif is possible as long as you are the the following alignments : Neutral Good, Neutral, or any evil alignment), or go with theif. Having a deity of theives as a cleric gives you SOME ability as a theif, but not much.
And yes Lucky I am going to post in the IC thread, as a Player Character. Only if somebody needs suggestions as to what to do next or their is character conflict will I be doing the 'gamemaster' bit.

No, not at first. Even with a class a lvl 1 kobold (or goblin, etc) wouldn't really be able to take even a level 1 adventurer alone. I will post tomorrow night

Wasn't planning on it, but it seems to kind of fit, that the one coming across you could be a fleeing kobold, carrying a bottle of something. No telling how far anyone would chase him.
