First you have to find objects, and it is not easy, as you need a lot of games and special model viewers, 3DSmax (for latest games), Milkshape, GR2viewer, Sgreader (Caesar3).
Then you need the latest Def maker (create defs+msg/msk), ObjTxtEditor.exe (for generating codes in ZEOBJT.exe) from Grayface.
Then you need Photoshop to change RVB to indexed colors for each frame.
Then you need a lot of time.

Why is that? Isn't Blender enough for creating a readable format?

How do you open models from games with Blender? So far Blender does not recognize those files. There are games models which can't be opened with nothing, I could not find anything to open Guild wars for example.

But their lighthing has opposite direction than all other H3 objects. How about turning them the other way round?

Well, for example, Unreal Engine games have an option to export models as Wavefront .OBJ files, and those can be opened in Blender easily. It also opens .3DS files (converts them to Blender-friendly format) and Maya files, forgot what their extension was. So, really, there's no need to have expensive tools like 3DS Max.

I feel already a headache with all those tools. If you are able to import textures in HoMM using Blender, please do it. I am still searching for games whose textures can be imported without that 3DSmax.
Small keygen problem.
