[explaining previous post]@Azagal, I'm glad that your unlucky games vs me had no adverse luck in your next games
Now comments on games:
1st: looks like sylvan may need to be more subtle when using unconventional strategies else it may go wrong if atb & warcries turn out to be unlucky!
2nd: when I first saw setup, I thought poor haven (stats without enlightenment) but was entertained with unconventional tactics & see-sawing battle...that last stand/consume arti/zehir special has gotta be one of the most annoying things ever
edit: Did I see vampirism NOT work on battle dive?

1st game was a classic stronghold stomp. I started with Dirael and decided to try an unconventional build. I've done Phoenix + rain of arrow bees before and it works well enough, but there was simply too much momentum that game for me to do anything. Would have ended just as badly with destructive, and I imagine with light I just wouldn't have lost quite as badly. I forgot that Fear My Roar is a hard counter against Druids, so I probably should have went Light anyway. I don't respect that school as much as I should.
As for the 2nd game, in my flawed opinion Haven is at a disadvantage, so I decided to gamble on dark magic for vampirism in hopes that he wouldn't bother with magic mirror, which he didn't. It had the same effect as magic immunity while also resing a good deal of troops (and keeping righteous might on my griffons during their killing spree). It was a risk that I think paid off and I don't really regret anything about my build and I think it was my best performance of the 5 games I did, but the defense academy + last stand was just too much. I also assume he went Swift Mind, so tearing apart my Angels with my Champions first turn was devastating.

I almost expected him to slaughter your squires/crossbows in that move but archangels certainly were high on the priority list.

Would also be an extra gamble should you possess a counter and have them charge all the way to his troops. Dark vs academy seems to be getting increasingly popular lately

Those who have not finished by tomorrow evening are out. I am not going to chase you anymore, when you join a tournament I expect a certain level of commitment. If not for me for the others that are eager to play in the next round and await their turn. If for whatever reason you could not arrange the game and need a few extra days I expect to know beforehand, this situation cannot continue.

As far as I could decipher I have no opponent yet right?
EDIT: About my games thanks for all the flattery . To be quite honest the idea of catching the squires and the crossbowmen didn't even come to me since I already had the Crossbowmen on my mental-checklist crossed out due to my mass confusion. And I didn't want the Archangels to dish out their ridiculous damage and resurrect the Horsemen. And yeah one of the reasons was also to get them closer to my troops in order to smack them to pieces. And I was lucky to be able to puppet them at all... Zehir the stallion he is got Logistics offered and of course I was going for Swift Mind but it turned out that I never got Arcane Intuition offered and due to the fact that I got Defense offered as well I had to ditch it since I would have had to compromise too much (those 3 levels less limit more than I thought they would xD). Apparently Zehir didn't quite forget it though and at the time of the showdown he was as swift as I could have had wished for.
And another thing to all the participants. You see when you entered this tournament (or any tournament) you have to realize that it's not just you. Whether it's the players in your group or the ones in a totally different group everybody depends on everybody. And I think you should all be aware of the responsibilities you have as a participants. It's to play 3 (or 2 if you're lucky or really good) games a week. That's by no means impossible for us. We don't have 16 hour a day jobs and crammed weekends. Apart from the fact that the games shouldn't be a burden to you in the first place! I mean I'm pretty sure everybody joined because he enjoys playing this game, so how come it's so difficult to get 3 games a week arranged?
Of course sometimes something can come up and prevent you from getting something done and Elvin is the first guy to understand, but seriously... I see you guys online and some of you haven't finished the first round since the very beginning of the tournament oO. That's just not cool.
What you have to realize is, that you're ruining the fun for everybody in this. NOW GET TO IT!!

Zamfir... don't play the lamb will you? I remember playing you and you don't want to ask me how I remember your behaviour...
If you want to play you'll find one. You don't really believe you can just wait for him and he'll come to you? Write him an email? HCM? Anything?
These things don't come to you you have to make a tiny effort and I doubt that's asking much.

Actually should Godulio fail to appear zamfir is not moving in the next phase either. I had warned him numerous times and should not have given yet another chance after I saw him pull off the same crap in arena. He even disappeared afterwards to make matters worse.
In short zamfir don't ever ask to join the duels again. Had you been one of the other newbies I would understand but you haven't changed the slightest bit. Appearing on the last day and oblivious about your opponent speaks volumes. Again.

Ah cool You play zamfir but if you can't arrange a game you will be considered the default winner. Should neither Tann nor Larry make an appearance you will play in the finals.
