Must have custom scenarios?.
What medium sized custom scenarios (for 3 or 4 players,) do you consider hold up well against regular H4 maps?.

Puritania. It's a great map, but it's a bit hard. Play on champion, it's rather easy for a champion (and only that way it's challenging). By the end you will have some lvl 70 heroes and 800 angels and face things like 200 megadragons + 1k goblin knights or 700 frenzied gnashers.
It's fun and challenging but not realistic.
Edit: Open your map editor, erect a garrison right infront of Elita (The Purple's Town) and make it unleavable, put the creatures stationed in the castle there, and make every one of them 750. Only that way the map is challenging (and make the difficult champion). The reason for this is i had 2 heroes, both lvl 70 and about 1k angels. I had one cast dragon strength on it and the other cast prayer. ON turn two one cast mass bless and the other giant strength and the angels just ONE SHOT 250 phoenixes (and killed 200 BD's in one attack) and only 15 died in retaliation.

Yeah, I knew about 'Maps 4 Heroes' but thanks anyways.
I'm not good enough to play on 'Champion', I'm a noob.

Then just play advanced. But NEVER play this map on intermediate or novice. It is no fun.
