@Ohforfsake: Well, I haven't played it in a while, but I'd say that it is an interesting strategy for sure. I don't like setting up OHKO though, since it's kinda obvious to your opponent, which is risky.
But there's a Pokémon thread in the Other Games subforum for precisely this game (dig around, you'll find it soon enough. )

My philosophy on variation (using unexpected attacks is often better in most cases) is that variation is only needed as long as the game is balanced and as long as your opponent master the balance to the same level as yourself.
I used the tactic (I left some details out, substitution for anti-berry tactic, etc.) back in school when the game shortly was popular, the tactic was never beaten, so it didn't matter that people knew what was coming.

Thanks, just for that, I'll go and write my "pokemon history" in that thread, if the people of the thread have any anger problems, I hope you don't mind they take it out on you, it's after all your fault.

You're completely correct. The intention of language is communication, and as long as we can understand eachother, there's no problem.
However the probability of being understood rises with the quality of what you've written. If you take your time to properly set up your message, arguments and conclusions, then you'll most likely be easier understood, whereby the probability of getting an answer is likewise higher.
Since we write here to communicate in the first place, an answer is something we most often seek, whereby it's only a good idea to consider how you set up your post.
Proper grammer and spelling indicates that you've consideret your words, and that you've something serious to say.

While I'd say Dagoth's is the most correct none of the variations of the question are technically wrong. The op's sounds a little awkward spoken though.
