You take the most exaggerated paths to try to humiliate the opposition, because you have nothing to offer to the discussion, ergo I said that you're behaving like a drone.
Somehow you felt threatened by the atmosphere of my post so you went into hostile mode, the evidence is mostly due to the fact that you couldn't spot that I wasn't talking about the convention.

Should I have added smileys perhaps? I had no ill intent, and this hostile atmosphere is kinda unpleasant.
I'll admit I understand about 20% of your posts cuz your flamboyant language is beyond me.

Let me put it into layman's terms, you got a high-grade in school and your first girl-friend, what do you do? You let your parents and friends know, you are happy and prideful, you want people know of your actions ('success')
Now imagine if you met a guy who is showing off how great he is, without having done anything, only because he's homosexual, he is suddenly better than you, without being so, I can tolerate this, but not the fact that they hide behind equality. (when i say suddenly, I meant the revealing bit, not "omg I'm now gay")
Taking pride in something that the 'other-side' would get abused for, it reminds me of stud and slag.

Well then that gay dude's kind of an ass.
I don't think that many homosexuals actually think they're better than the rest though, they just wanna be noticed in a world that's majorly focused on appealing only to straight people.

Here we have something called 'Gay Pride', it is a day dedicated to glorifying homosexuals, it is, unfair.
And true, I agree with you that the majority of homosexuals, bisexuals, transsexuals and lesbians are flawless human beings, it's a shame that the same can't be said about their representatives and their motives, who seek only to reap, and the worst thing is all this 'hate' is being vented on the ones who have truly done no wrong, and have not even a shred of ill intent.
Edit: Thank you Veco.

Yeah thanks, we misunderstood each other it seems. All is clear now.
One should take pride in their achievements yes, but isn't it an achievement in itself to stand up and take pride in what you are?
For a gay person, it would be 10x easier to simply conceal his/her sexuality and live as a straight person, because the world is majorly privileged towards straight people.
Standing up to all the prejudice and hardships, instead of bending over (ho ho) and taking the easy path, is that not worthy of pride?

Sure telling your friends and family. I've got no qualm with being prideful and happy that the people that are close to you are fine with/know your sexuality, but why must this fact be forced into everyone else's lives. It is needless provocation.
I don't see why a homosexual feels the need to declare anything so, personal, so openly. Why should you be concerned with another's sexuality above all else?
I just hate the idea that the only thing that I know about a person is that they're gay, why do I need to know that? Shouldn't I be judging someone on their merits and not their sexuality? Isn't that the underlining wish of the LGBT community?

No, they are free to do so. It's highly unnecessary though and I doubt it'd become very popular since we already have PAX and E3 and Gamescom and whatnot.
Really? PAX and E3 are "straight" gamer conventions? It tend to think if there were a new convention and they named it "Straight Gamers Convention" there would be massive protests from gay activists. Do you disagree?
I think the same thing would happen if there were a "Straight Pride" Parade. Massive protests from GLBT activists.
And no, being gay is not worthy of more pride than being straight. The only gays in the west that face any sort of backlash are the ones who love to get in people's faces with their sexuality. They want "gay this" and "gay that" and then get all upset about anything "straight." Like marriage.

It's not about what they do in the bedroom, it's about equal rights. As Alci put it in another thread:Quote: Actually I think you miss the point completely. Heterosexuals don't make parades because nobody would care if they did. The fact that people actually are affronted by gay parades exactly proves the discrimination and/or prejudism that they are fighting. You march, when you are a minority, because you want to show that you are not ashamed of what you are. You don't do it to affront - if people are affronted, that's their own problem, because in the eyes of the belonger of the minority, there's nothing to be affronted by. You have to see it from their point of view, not yours, to understand their motivation.

Exactly, and why do you think that there aren't any half-nude males skipping about on these events?
Because the target group are straight males.

meh the pride festival is not a big deal, it's just some people having fun every year and politicans trying to be as politically correct as possible.
Feel free to create a straight pride festival.
I wouldn't mind it.
