Thanks. I only have a dilemma about sizes. If the object is 256 width it almost always goes out of grid and crashes the game. It seems the max width is 224, not 256. For height 256 is always ok.

You mean that it should not work with this version? I works fine with me. It makes the .msk and .msg files correctly.
Or you mean it is fixed for this version?

That's Age of Wonders, a great Heroes-like game. Disciples 2 could be a great source too. Also other H3 graphics, of course. But I must admit I kind of gave up because it seems we don't know how to introduce blank artifacts, at least those who know don't share it...

There is a way to introduce 3200 new artefacts, I have the script but still looking at it to figure how's working. Until that, my approach is the same as for creatures: replace the existent ones for mods/unique maps purpose. A database is needed for those who can script/mod.
Others will just cry the new graphics do not fit well in HoMM, but that's all they can do.

I got AOW 1 and 2 and an ILB reader. However it does not fix the background to transparent. Has anyone a tool for changing the background before importing? Solitaire, what program you used?

It 'moves' internal structure(s) and changes things limits/addresses in game code. So, the only way to understand how it works is to disassemble WoG executable and study it.

Good to hear, so I can already give up for now. I was wandering where to place that script, now it is clear. Beyond my skills.

Yes, i made 6 new special grounds, 14 trees, 16 mountains, 1 waterfall, + lots of objects .
Btw, all of them are from HoMM 4
@EDIT, you can download some of them here:

Very nice, but your files does not provide a new Zeobjts.txt, thus the object will not be available to anyone, unless he knows how to edit it.
I think it is bad idea to release objects one by one without the right config. Better extract all you need, make a new Zeobjts and upload all as a stand alone patch.
I still searching for a H4 res viewer. My resedit only shows animations with black background and distorted window. Can you upload your tool?

I have the same ResEdit as you have. I just look the objects with it, and take a photo of it with HyperSnap, then edit the photo (make it right size and add the light-blue background).
And yes, making a large .wog file would be better, but i don't how how to do one.. I have about 30-40 objects from heroes 4, please, can you tell me how to do the .wog file
@EDIT, it takes time to do animated objects from Heroes 4.. And i don't know how to edit the Zeobjts.txt..

Ouch, thats a long process to take a snapshoot then resize. Resizing a pics will lower object quality. It has to be some H4 viewer out here, I think Cepheus has one.
For .wog file, it is not hard. wog is same compression as .rar, so just compress .rar and rename to .wog. For what is inside, just download my patch and extract all text files from it. Delete all my defs names and add yours. Without a .wog file none can use your objects.

It's a long process to do that to animated ones, but not that long for 1 picture.
First, I take a photo of the Quick View:
Then, I change it's colours and resize it:
At the beginning, i resized the Quick View to a good looking size, then took the photo. Took only 5 minutes to do the bmp.
