Six Years of HC
Well, it's been another year (and, just as according to tradition, I missed my registration anniversary). Six years now I have been at HC, and what a time it has been. In my third year, I talked of how HC had become "quiet, peaceful, and dead". In my fourth year, I noted how HC was becoming much more active with TotE's release. In my fifth year, I talked about how great HC was, and warned that my activity was going to drop.
Well, my activity has declined - however, through no fault of mine. Where's the activity? The last few months have been relatively quiet and slow. Where are all the posts? Where are the new threads? If you open the VW, you'll see something like, "[meme from other places on the internet]" by me, "I'm doing Fascist things" by Darkshadow, and, of course, "Dragon Cave" (what's so great about Dragon Cave, anyway?).
Nevertheless, I shall spare you the "golden old ages rant", for I don't think it holds true. We do need a new HoMM game, though. Aside from Shyranis and OhforfSake I don't think we've had that many new members in the past year. Where's the new blood? And where's the old blood going?
I joined HC when I was 12. And now I'm 18. It would be untrue if I were to say that you had no hand in raising me. LHW - a cliche-storm, perhaps, but still a great story - helped me exercise my creative writing skills ("Mvass starts burning everything"), and the OSM raised my writing skills by a lot. Thanks, everyone: Death, Doomforge, Bak, Corribus, etc. And I've learned a lot, and refined my philosophy. But the battle continues - there are still people who don't agree with me, and so I cannot rest.
Yes, I'm at college now. And I still have time to post. So your hopes are dashed. But that is for the best.
Edit: And DeadMan. Can't forget DeadMan.

Oh you emotional snow, now you made me all nostalgic for our "save the trees" vs "import cheap people from third world countries to cut trees down for a buck per hour" discussions a few years ago.
By the way, I could've sworn you were a year younger than me when we first met. 
(also I still think Elodin's you in disguise)

You forgot the "pointless spam" threads 
We used to have qupting pyramids and more spam before though -- although now the rules are more harsh, as long as you did not overuse them, they were quite "creative", at least as senseless spam is concerned anyway.

British and american year counts differ out of principle.
And I hope the spin-off will be released by november...
Maybe even the sixth installment in the course of a few months, but that's my vain hope
Anyway, guys, it's all been fun up till now, 'xcept for elodin.
And LHW WAS awesome. I even opened opened a thread frecently about my intentions of joining it a year ago... Back in a more innocent time when I was skipping through grass fields with flowers in my hair.

I've been a member of the HoMM online community since about 1996, and have gone through four (including this one) message boards / forums in that time. Will this be the last? Who knows. They've all pretty much expired before my interest did.

I was going to make a paint picture of 2 graphs, one with your interest over time going like a sine curve and the other with the activity of the given board going as a sine curve displaced a bit.
Combining these I'd conclude that your interest contra the activity of the boards you're on actually creates DNA!
But I'm to lazy to actually do it, so I'm just going to spam in stead.

im here since june 06 suffice to say im BORED. however in retro-spect HC kind've helped raising me,as well as other long year'd forums i'm in. althought the only i was longer praphes was Castlegobs.nl and it predessor MMTTribute.com...
