Where is conflux?
Hi there, I'm sorry if this question has already been posted but i searched through almost all search results and found nothing.
I got Heroes 3 complete, and i cannot find conflux city not in city selection, nor in map editor. Where is it?
Also, I seem missing some features from the expansions (like rouges and sharpshooters and that one unit, the one that upgrades both from magi and monk)
I only played one mission in campaign, maybe that is the problem.

Check the version of your game (right click heroes3.exe file)...maybe it isn't COMPLETE at all?

Bout to say, if you really have complete, conflux should stick out like a sore thumb from the other factions in all menus, editor or game related.

It says 1.1.0.0 while complete should have 1.4.0.0 right?
This is strange.
On the box and cd there is written that both expansions (armageddon's blade and shadow of death) are included.
EDIT: just checked the cd rom autoplay, it shows "Heroes of Might and Magic III" and on bottom "The restoration of Erathia" and in the background there is an archangel with a flaming sword.
That really reems like the basic game only, there is no reference to the ecpansions.
I feel so cheated.

check CD contents. it could be that the autoruns expansions are in other folders

Checked, there are 11 folders:
-one is labeled _AUTORUN and is obiouvsly the autorun
-one is named _SETUP and contains only one setup.exe
-3 are game demos
-4 are utilities like Mplayer and msn gaming zone
-one is called Heroes 3 and only contains an audio file and a .vid file
-one is the DirectX folder
That's all. I guess the setup.exe runs the setup.
Oh, and It's a Microforum Best Seller (the game is in Italian).
Could I just download the expansions and install them? I guess it isn't illegal as i paid for a complete game and ony found the basic game.

Version 1.1 is basic H3 named "Restoration of Erathia". The latest version for RoE is 1.4
Heroes Complete is version 4.0 (It includes RoE, AB and SoD in 1 file)
If you want Conflux, you either need to buy Heroes Complete, Armageddon's Blade (latest version is 2.2) or Shadow of Death (latest version is 3.2)

Actually, I'm pretty certain it's still illegal, eventhough the shop "fools" you in the first place.
I think the legal thing to do is to go to the shop and tell them about the problem (they'll probably be pretty happy, just imagine the fines they would get if it was found out that they're "cheating" costumers).
Then either get a refund or the entire game + expansions.

I think there's no Conflux in SoD only, he needs AB too.

I'm not sure that's the case, because both use a different exe file.
But you can "activate" all AB options, especially the random generator, with the known trick of creating 5 ghost files. With the generator, you have Conflux aswell.

The shop where i bought it doesn't even exist anymore... i got it about 2 years ago thinking I was playing expansions, while I noticed I had none of them only when i visited this forum.

Bad situation there...you could just try buying complete online, and just be double sure to get the right one. Either way best of luck.
