[MOD TotE] GotP in ToE!
PROJECT CLOSED
Hello,first i am spanish so sorry for my english,lets start.
I'm sure you remember GotP,if not you can find informationhere or here.
This mod was excellent but now adays,with TotE this mod is incompatible with TotE and is outdated(and the project is dead).that's why i decided to make compatible with TotE and to make some improvements.
All the changelog is: (new features I made are in the end)
#Haven
- New name for the race "Sanctrum"
- The upgraded units are Renegades now
- New skins for Peasant, Archer, Footman, Griffin, Priest, Cavaleries, Angel
- The colours in the town turned to red oriented
- New music in the town
- New Battle music
#Renegades
- New skins for, Battle Griffin, Angel
#Necropolis
- The Wight and Wraith are level 3th creatures
- The Wight and Wraith use teleportation
- +1 Attack to the Skeleton and Skeleton Archer
- +1 Speed and Iniciative to the Zombie
- +1 Speed to the Plague Zombie
- Liches and Archliches are small creatures now
- Life Drain special ability drain 100% of the demage
- Ghost and Specre are neutral creatures, out of Necropolis
- Black Knight, Death Knight are Lv. 6th creatures
- New skins for Archliches
#Sylvan
-New skins for Treant and Ancient Treant (The Models and skins from the Beta)
#Dungeon
- New skins for Blood Fury/Maden and Shadow Dragon
- The Shadow Dragon in now Red Dragon
- New skin and Model for Dark Champion

#My changes:
HAVEN
- New incial heroes (alaric,isabel and the renegades heroes).
- New heroes for duels.
- New skillwheel for knights,more oriented in dark magic,
- New name for knights,tey are called now "renegades" (in the mod they are called renegados,because its in spanish)
- New skins for old upgrades.example: marksman
INFERNO
- imp +1 inciative
- familiar +1 iniciative +2 speed
- quasit +1 iniciative +1 speed
- demon +2 growth
-1 upgrade +2 growth
-2 upgrade +2 growth
- dogs (the three have) +1 iniciative
- Nightmares are now replaced by abyss demons (with new stats)
- Giants are now the level 6 creature,with new stats.
- Devils stats are rounded,and the upgrades have the skill enraged
NECROPOLIS
- Apocalipsis knight is now the 2nd upgrade of dark knights.

Altered animations
Here I go: total noob in the Heroes community and only now I read about changed animations..
Does anyone remember how animations were changed in the days of GotP?
Or is there some tutorial / thread about how to do this?

I think the post is referring to swapped-around effects or something along those lines. Animations, as in skeletons and geometries, have never been changed in Heroes V by the fan community. There simply hasn't been anyone with the know-how and/or time to work with them. What you've been doing with Archangel is "groundbreaking".

Alright, but still there must have been a lot of knowledge about similarities in creature skeletons, no?
Anyway, I finally got through to rapidshare & DLd the mod. I'll check it out one of these days.

Dunno, but was it really such a brilliant idea to take photographs of the computer screen? All you needed to do would be to use the print screen button and ms paint.
Sadly, I think earlier builds had better textures... turning some parts red on the originals doesn't look right.

Well I tried this mod, but the texture work seems horribly outdated compared to nowadays mods, also the sun rays above the haven town looks more like a red square , not very much worth the translation to TOE. Talking about translation why mixing spanish with english, while your english seems ok?

@Festuc,
First of all: The dual classes project is not dead, in fact it is more alive then it ever was. It will be released soon! You would have known it if you communicated with me. I personally do not care if you use xdb files and materials from me or others to construct mods, because everyone is doing this for years and I do it too. BUT I don't like it that you continue projects from others without communicating about it. First you did it with the dual classes project I worked on with Alcibiades, then you did it with Gotp. It's not up to you to decide which projects are dead and which are not. I know Vokial has always been very fond of his Gotp project and didn't want people to walk away with it. Now you seem to take things further and blend my dual classes project with Gotp, this is all not very much appreciated!

The yellow archer needs a better, more interesting texture. If you want it to be in the style of the original upgrades, I would suggest you start with making his surcoat white with a golden sun instead, and modify his coif so it's mail instead of cloth. Then maybe add bronze or gold details to metal parts such as the helmet, and maybe add facial hair.
It's not hard work at all- if you have time to open a texture and recolor it, you got time to make it interesting as well!
EDIT: Project dead? Oh dear.

This gotP is dead because magnomagus is right but with all the work i have done,only my not anyone more i will probabily make something in the future,but totally different of GotP.
NOTE:I will probe to improve the yellow archers texture

I'm glad you take it well, so I will be kind to you too. After all I don't want to spoil the fun you have with HOMM. Of course for yourself you can do anything you want (and you won't need to translate), but if you want to release something it is better to start your own project.
From the screenshots I see you have much interest in revamping the haven faction and doing visual adjustments, so my advice to you is just to start your own project on this. The work from Gotp is outdated anyway so a start from scratch will probably lead to much better results. Furthermore it is not like it is forbidden to create new classes for your mod. The ability to create new classes is essentially an invention from Kronos that I worked out further, and just like the NCF framework it is something everybody can use for his own purposes and creativity. Also its always accepted if people rerelease mods to make them compatible with their own.
